During the han dynasty, liaoxi county,as one of the northern counties, occupied an important position in the defense and national control of the border counties. There is much controversy about the research on the capital of liaoxi county. In different periods of the western and eastern han dynasties, the capital of liaoxi county was moved.Located in today’s chaoyang zhaoba city of the western han dynasty, the capital of Jvlv, moved to the east han dynasty in today’s suizhong Guchengzhai city Yangle. There were many reasons for the change of capital of liaoxi county. The change of temperature in the northern area of the han dynasty made the northern nomads invade the northern border many times.Xiongnu in the early western han dynasty was the main threat to liaoxi county. When emperor wudi defeated xiongnu and expanded the northern border,he set the capital of liaoxi county on the Jvlv, which was easy to defend and difficult to attack, and the geographical position was closer to the northern Great Wall, which played a role in determing and managing the northern nomads.During the han dynasty,wu huan and xianbei continuously moved southward, which had a great impact on the whole northeast border county. In the eastern han dynasty, the area of liaoxi county was greatly reduced, and the capital moved to Yangle, which was further south. As one of the important counties in the north, liaoxi county plays an important role in guarding the border and communicating with the surrounding ethnic groups. It is a transitional zone connecting the central plains and liaodong region, and a gathering place for multi-ethnic cultural exchanges. It plays an irreplaceable important role in strategy, transportation and culture.
