The group of teachers in Colleges and universities is an important part of social groups,and its formation and development affect all aspects of society.During the period of the Republic of China(1916-1931),under the rule of Zhang’s father and son,the Northeast Education at all levels developed rapidly with the support of the government and the people of insight in the society,and the group of teachers in Fengtian University also grew.From the perspective of the combination of history and sociology,this paper discusses the composition and characteristics of the college teachers in Fengtian province during the period of the Republic of China,and explores the influence of the college teachers on the development of modern Fengtian province.During this period,there were various sources of teachers in Colleges and universities in Fengtian province;the number of teachers who received the new education increased dramatically,while the number of teachers who came from the transformation of the old imperial examination system decreased;there were a few female teachers;they had the knowledge composition of "new" and "old" combination,and showed the transitional characteristics of the transformation from "old" to "new".In order to adapt to the prosperity of higher education and with the support of the government of Fengtian University,the teachers in Fengtian University have made great progress in scale and quality.Looking back on the living conditions of Fengtian college teachers in the period of the Republic of China,we can see the outstanding teaching ability,high academic level,highly respected social status,the concept of saving the nation through education and the sense of social responsibility.They have a certain sense of modern political ideology,committed to the development of China’s modern education,at the same time,they train technical talents for economic development,and actively guide the people to innovate social concepts,making a significant contribution to freedom,equality and social progress.Generally speaking,through the analysis of the source,knowledge structure,group attribute and the influence on the modernization of Fengtian university teachers group in the period of the Republic of China,it can provide reference for the development of higher education and the growth of teachers group in Liaoning Province.
