Research On Alai’s Writing About The Young Suffered From The Intergenerational Relation

Since 1980 s,as an author,Alai has observed and recorded the history and the suffering of human beings,especially the young who got into the intergenerational puzzle.Because Alai needs a long-term emotional accumulation in writing,his work has a periodical characteristic.In the works of Alai in different periods,the fate of teenagers shows similarities and differences.This paper was divided into 4 chapters to analyze Alai’s writing features of intergenerational issues about young in three different periods--the early stage,the middle and the latest.Firstly,in the early works of Alai,the intergenerational trouble faced by young is mainly contributed to the family they lived with.Some works also involve the intergeneration of identity(urban man and countryman).The intergenerational issue is mainly caused by the elder generation who can’t fulfill the expectation of young which makes the family disharmony.Therefore,in Alai’s early works,the young against the intergeneration by getting close to perfect spiritual parents.Secondly,few works involve intergeneration of identity in the early period,while it becomes a potential problem among young with the development of modern civilization.Furthermore,conflicts also have appeared between modern civilization and traditional culture that give rise to the value bias among same or different generation.On one hand,it is unavailable to adopt some traditional values to the modern society.On the other hand,some corrupt customs of traditional culture have appeared.These are the two criminals bringing some young on desperateness.Finally,in the latest works,Alai has maintained and sublimated the types of intergeneration which exist in the early and middle works.So the young are given equal right to communicate.Besides,traditional culture in the latest works is genial and the elder is wise to play a role of guider for young.Eventually,intergeneration has been eliminated by the common struggling of everyone.This analysis affirms the importance of Alai’s writing about the intergeneration among young.There is not only the practical meaning in his works,but also guiding meaning of future.Repeating writing about intergeneration highlights its universality.Moreover,the Binary Opposition between the young and the elder,urban and country arises the question about dignity of the elderly and harmonious development.
