| The Journal of Gansu Education(Semi-monthly)is one of the most important educational journals in Gansu Province during the Anti-Japanese War,with many contributors from the circle of education all over China.The journal has varied columns and is concerned with various aspects including educational policies,administration,monographs,curriculum,textbooks and teaching methods,profiles of education implementation of different parts of the province,teachers’ cultivation,and so on.This journal lasting for seven years is a vital source of researching Gansu’s educational situations during the War,and has published 144 issues,with about 600 papers and rules and regulations about education.This paper begins with the general introduction about the background,process,aim,main contents and contributors of the Journal of Gansu Education.It focuses on such fields as primary education,high school education,teachers’ cultivation as well as the remedy drills for the public,administrative affairs,and educational supervision.The journal acts as a means of introducing educational theories,studying actual problems in teaching and learning,transmitting educational messages,supporting the cause of education.It always centers on the Gansu’s education of different levels and social schooling,greatly promoting the healthy growth of education for the province with helpful advice. |
