Research On The Creative Method Of Character Arcs In Micro Films

Character arc,as a commonly used creation technique in today’s film and television,can be simply interpreted as the change and development of characters,and it is one of the testing methods for scriptwriter’s ability and level.Micro film production cost is low,and the length is shorter,themes,clear,easy to adapt to the audience the fragmentation of reading habit,to make it in the mass cultural product has a unique advantage in the market,at the same time,the development of new media technology has given its wide spread space,so the micro film has always shown a strong vitality at the beginning of this century,people arc method is becoming more and more important in the creation of micro film,compared to traditional film at the same time,the character arc in the process of the creation of the micro film has their own features.This paper first traces the emergence of the concept of character arc in the play,which is introduced into the film through continuous evolution in the drama and literature,and then expounds the connotation of character arc from the perspective of "character trajectory" and "character dimension".This paper discusses the value and function of character arc from the perspective of the creator and the audience.This article mainly character curve as the research object,micro film,for example,follow the "hero--dilemma--,solve the dilemma of the Hollywood classic film model,for the character curve of relevant key elements character set,the collocation of the characters and character conflict,story structure are analyzed,summed up the micro arc of the characters in the film creation method.In combination with the short film "gain and loss",which focuses on female growth,how to integrate the above elements and apply the creation method of characters in micro film to practice creation.
