Scene Design And Practice In Cyberpunk Films

Cyberpunk film is an important branch of science fiction movies,they are usually set in the near future virtual space.The scene design mainly portrays the future city which combines high-tech with low-life,for expressing anxiety and reflection on scientific and social issues,Cyberpunk film has a warning and guiding significance for the future development of human society.At present,there are many discussions on the design style of cyberpunk films,but there are few researches on the scene design,also no systematic research system.To find out the design rules of cyberpunk scenes,we must first start with the connotation and core settings of cyberpunk,pointing out the four core settings of cyberpunk world which are networking,biomimetic machinery,capitalist monopoly and great gap between rich & poor.The scene of cyberpunk movies is designed based on the four core settings.The design of the scene consists of architecture and color.Cyberpunk films focus on Asian architectural landscapes,with neon lights,slums and rainy streets as the main architectural elements,Cyberpunk films emphasize the blending of cultures.In the early West,the Oriental elements are full of mystery,so they introduce the subculture with strong subversion spirit style,and design the architecture with the subculture style of the Asian city landscape.The colors in cyberpunk films are abstract and unfamiliar,represented by Purple and Green.For two of them are mysterious and technical,could make a combination that produces the dramatic effect.Cyberpunk need the visual impact as well.However,the conclusions drawn from the theoretical analysis need to be adjusted according to the actual situation.In the process of creating "After Human",the conceptual design elements needs to be chosen according to the whole composition,for good of scene.Besides,the equipment configuration and technology of the production also affect the final effect a lot.
