Analysis Of The Artistic Features Of The Aria "A Peach Blossom" In Zhou Xueshi’s Opera "Farewell To Cambridge"

This article takes the aria A Peach Blossom in the small theater opera Farewell to Cambridge written in the late 20 th century as the research object.It is one of the ingenious verses in the opera Farewell to Cambridge and has extraordinary artistic value in the history of opera.The first time I sang the A Peach Blossom,I was quite fond of it and had a strong interest in the significance of the song and the extraordinary protagonist.Based on the development of Chinese national opera,this study explores background of creation,content and social impact of the small theater opera and its masterpiece Farewell to Cambridge,and then analyzes the artistic feature of ingenious work A Peach Blossom.Reseach and analysis to learn that the work has beautiful poetry,talented character image,and concise musical form,with its beautiful melody,romantic lyrics,and profound artistic conception,Phyllis Lin’s female image of gentle and elegant intellectual has been fully shaped,making this work stand out in many operas.Firstly,the discussion of this article can provide the scholars with a certain theoretical basis and research ideas for understanding Chinese classic opera,and can understand and appreciate the unique charm of opera from a wider perspective.Secondly,by thinking and summarizing the learning experience of my own major,exploring and tasting the charm of Chinese opera art in multiple dimensions so that I can further understand the unique characteristics and new artistic value of opera in small theaters,and lay a certain theoretical foundation for my singing.Finally,I hope that I can contribute to the development of excellent culture,inheritance of traditional art,and establishment of Chinese culture confidence.
