| Safety management as the foundation of the development of aviation industry is expected to advance with the aerotechnics. This is very true for China which is in the period of golden age of aviation industry development.Though Chinese experts and practitioners spare no effort to explore new system for safety management, there are still many problems to be solved, such as insufficient researches from the perspective of human factors in flight operation. Those problems are elaborated by Safety Management System in Aviation which has discussed the problems and put forward corresponding solutions. For the purpose of providing reference for the resolving of the problems in safety management system of Chinese aviation through the introduction of foreigner researcher’s monograph,it is necessary to translate this book to Chinese experts and practitioners. The translator implemented this translation practice in hope that her translation provides a reference for improving performance of safety management in Chinese aviation. The paper is a report on E-C translation of the Chapter 4-6 of Safety Management System in Aviation under the guidance of Skopos Theory. There are five parts in this report, namely,an introduction to the project, task description and literature review, theoretical framework, case study and conclusion.Chapter 1 is a brief introduction to the background and significance of the project.Chapter 2 is a description of the source text and an overview of aviation English translation.Chapter 3 talks about the theoretical framework of the report, gives a specific interpretation of Skopos theory.Chapter 4 makes case analyses from the perspective of three rules of the Skopos theory.Chapter 5 contains a general summary of the translator’s findings and limitations during the translation process. |
