The past,present and future of Sudan films are studied through interviews SWOT,PESTLE Analysis,and historical methods from the 1890 s to the present.The history of African film has been used as an introduction to the history of film in Sudan because of its similarity.The first film produced by Sudan Cinema,which began with British colonial rule over Sudan,was the pomegranate Company,which startled the Queen at the Battle of Omdurman in 1898.The film history of the Sudan can be divided into three periods: colonial period(1898-1956),post-independence period(mid-1950 s to mid-1980s)and most recently(1980s-mid-2010)..Films are generally produced under the supervision of the British Government Liaison Office,and it was not until 1949 that the Sudan Film Bureau(SFU),was established to make great progress in serving and highlighting government material,and fully demonstrated the development of the British Empire.From the 1960 s to the 1980 s,film-makers,directors,actors and the most well-known film of the Sudan were in the rise.The Sudan cinema began to collapse from the mid-1980 s,and the study also highlighted the pioneer of the Sudanese in the production of films,directors,actors and producers,as well as the most important feature films directed by the Sudanese director,as well as the awards and films they have obtained.The role of government and private institutions,as well as the United States,India,Europe and Arab countries in the Sudan cinema,has been discussed since 1898.The film-makers in the Sudan made a number of feature films.Some of them have won international awards,but are still not well known in the world.The challenges of the Sudanese cinema and the tragic conditions of the cinema have also been recorded.After 2010,a film-making independent film producer,a young actor,has been trying to revive the film industry in the Sudan.The study also suggests that China can play an important role in the development of the Sudan’s film through direct cooperation or through the Confucius Institute.
