The Social Work Intervention Of A Battered Woman In A Divorce Case

Every year the courts will accept numerous divorce cases.Generally parties have to litigate at least twice to achieve the aim of granting a divorce.Due to the typicality and particularity of battered women suing to the court for a divorce as well as the urgency and the practic.al significance of intervening into cases,we regarded Wu,a woman in her sixties,who have been enduring domestic violence from her husband for more than thirty-five years,as our service object.At the beginning of process,we made questionnaires about viewpoint of marriage and love particularly for Wu to collect the basic circumstances of the case and major problems of their marriage as well as to find the deep-seated reason that cause these problems so as to formulate strategies for case interventions.In this case,the major problem in Wu and Ji's marriage is domestic violence,and the main reason why Wu suffering domestic violence from her husband for more than thirty years is somehow related to their own character flaws and the lack of remedies for domestic violence.The case interventions are aimed at helping Wu to eliminate a negative state of mind,to rid of domestic violence,to restore correct outlook on love and marriage,to master living-skills and to realize the value of life.To achieve these goals,our strategies include providing litigation support,changing Wu's improper perceptions of marriage,helping Wu to master means to address domestic marriage,also developing Wu's hobbies and expanding social support system,which will be used in fifteen-times' case interventions.We should clearly define the goals,using forms of data are using the questionnaire survey and the interview.By the end of the case intervention,the goals were accomplished.We achieved remarkable success and should evaluate the impact,follow up the case and consolidate the achievements.
