After Moon Jae-in was elected President of South Korea,he inherited the policy keynote of the Kim Dae-jung and Roh Moo-hyun governments and initiated a new policy towards North Korea, committed to North-South reconciliation, peace and common prosperity. In February 2018,taking the Ping Chang Winter Olympic Games as an opportunity, changes have taken place in North-South relations and the situation on the Peninsula. The North-South Summit and the DPRK-US Summit were held. The "chain reaction" of Korean-Korean,Sino-Korean and US-DPRK relations has become a new trend of the current situation on the peninsula. The geographic characteristics of China and DPRK determine the interdependence, sensitivity and vulnerability of security between DPRK and China.South Korea and China share common interests on security issues on the Korean Peninsula.China and South Korea share many common goals and interests in maintaining peace and stability on the peninsula and resolving the Korean nuclear issue peacefully. Therefore,Moon Jae-in's policy of reconciliation, peace and abandonment of nuclear weapons is conducive to forming a stable surrounding environment for China and safeguarding China's interests, especially its core interests. It coincides with China's consistent goal of "non-nuclear,non-war and non-chaos",namely,denuclearization of the peninsula, maintenance of peninsula stability, and solution through dialogue and consultation, and is conducive to achieving the goal.It is conducive to the realization of China's “one belt and one road” construction and the revitalization of Northeatst China. In this view this I will focus on Moon Jae-in`s policy adjustment to the DPRK,grasp its overall policy design and arrangement, and then explore its multiple impacts.Specifically speaking, first of all,it examines the historical evolution of Korea's policy toward the DPRK since the cold war: during the reign of No Tae-u and Kim Yoeng-sam,reconciliation and exchanges between the North and the South were initiated;during the reign of Kim Dae-jung and Roh Moo-hyun,the "Sunshine Policy" and the "Policy of Peace and Prosperity" were actively promoted;after the reign of Lee Myung-bak and Park Geun-hye,the attitude towards the DPRK turned to hard, and the relations between the two. After Moon Jae-in came to the power,he abandoned the policy of exerting pressure on the DPRK and advocated reconciliation between the DPRK and the ROK and the establishment of a peaceful system on the Korean Peninsula.Secondly,it analyses the policy contents of Moon Jae-in`s government on denuclearization of Korea, economic policy on DPRK and promoting denuclearization of the peninsula.Thirdly,it discusses the four main characteristics of the policy.First,we should expand our contacts with the DPRK in order to achieve the goal of DPRK's nuclear abandonment.Secondly, nuclear freezing should be taken as the entry point to realize the peace system on the Korean Peninsula through denuclearization.Thirdly,we should carry out dialogue and sanctions in parallel with DPRK,and focus on dialogue with DPRK.Fourthly,it advocates emphasizing Korea's autonomy in its policy towards the DPRK.Finally, from the two perspectives of DPRK-US relations and China, this paper analyses Moon Jae-in`s policy influence on DPRK policy and puts forward China's countermeasures.
