Mao Zedong Thought is a comprehensive theory advocated by Mao Zedong and practiced in a wide range in the Chinese revolution and construction of China in the 20 th century.It is the development of Marxism-Leninism in China and the guiding ideology of China's new-democratic revolution and socialist revolution and construction.In the different historical stages of the development of modern society in China,under Mao Zedong's presidency,a variety of colleges and universities have been established,gradually forming a complete,rigorous and scientific system of higher education,cultivating a large number of outstanding for all walks of life.Professionals have played an important role in the Chinese revolution and construction.Mao Zedong's higher education thought is an important part of Mao Zedong Thought.After the founding of Mao Zedong,during the period of Mao Zedong's governance,China's higher education experienced an ups and downs of pendulum-style development.It not only made brilliant achievements,but also left bitter lessons.The successes and failures during this period deserve our review and summary.This article adopts the literature research method,comparative research method,and interdisciplinary research method.Taking Mao Zedong's specific practice in higher education as the research perspective in the order of the time since the founding of the People's Republic of China,the establishment of the Renmin University of China,adjustment of departments,and establishment of the Jiangxi Communist Labor University Major events such as the Workers,Peasants and Soldiers University are concrete cases.This article studies Mao Zedong's higher education thought after the founding of the People's Republic of China,mainly starting from Mao Zedong's view of education rather than the educational concept of daily understanding.Mao Zedong's higher education thought was put forward under the major premise of Mao Zedong's reform of the society,with the proletarian mind transforming people's minds and transforming their thoughts as the core,and carrying out the various viewpoints of accepting higher education and the ideas practiced under their guidance.Based on this,it analyzes and summarizes the main characteristics of Mao Zedong's higher education thoughts after the founding of the People's Republic of China,and rationally analyzes the enthusiasm and negativity of Mao Zedong's higher education thoughts,and finally concludes that Mao Zedong's higher education thoughts have contributed to China's contemporary society.Mao Zedong has his own set of unique and complete scientific higher education systems.This set of education systems has indicated the direction of higher education reform in China's old society and has become the purpose of running higher education institutions.At that time,Mao Zedong carried out extensive reforms of Chinese higher education institutions.He also insisted on adhering to Chinese characteristics and world-class,fully implementing the party's education policy,persisting in the direction of socialist education,strengthening the leadership of the party to colleges and universities,taking root in China,and following Laws of education,creative inheritance of the fine traditional culture of the Chinese nation,active exploration of world-class universities with Chinese characteristics and the construction of first-rate disciplines,strive to become participants and promoters of the reform and development of higher education in the world,and nurture socialist builders with Chinese characteristics.The successors have provided reference for better serving the socialist modernization and serving the people.
