With the arrival of the information age of accommodating interconnection,the convenient,simple and efficient Internet is sweeping the world rapidly,and e-commerce transactions have reached an unprecedented scale,and the number of disputes in network transactions is also showing a growing trend.The online dispute resolution mechanism emerges as the times require under this background.As a new dispute resolution mechanism in the world,online dispute resolution mechanism is considered to be a new dispute resolution method formed by alternative dispute resolution mechanism connecting information and communication technology.Online dispute resolution is a kind of online dispute resolution mechanism,which is efficient,convenient and real-time using the fourth party Internet information technology.In a narrow sense,it is a sub-mechanism derived from offline migration to online,virtual network,including online negotiation,online mediation,online arbitration and other basic operating modes.In a broad sense,the scope of ODR is obviously not only limited to the online alternative dispute resolution mechanism,but also includes the online dispute resolution methods implemented by the court,such as online litigation,online service and so on.With the help of the unstoppable development momentum of the current network information technology,the online dispute resolution mechanism presents a vigorous development trend under the background of "Internet".This paper tries to analyze the development of online dispute resolution mechanism in China,explore the existing problems and as far as possible put forward its future development path,and promote the development and improvement of online dispute resolution mechanism in China.
