Sustainable Livelihoods Of Immigrants In Reservoir Area

In order to give full play to the economic and social benefits of water conservancy and hydropower projects in flood control,irrigation,water supply,power generation and comprehensive utilization,about 86000 reservoirs of various types have been built since the founding of the people's Republic of China.However,the construction of water conservancy and hydropower projects inevitably has some adverse effects,such as reservoir siltation,environmental degradation and a large number of reservoir migration.Among them,resettlement of immigrants in the reservoir area has to some extent become a restrictive factor related to the normal operation of water conservancy and hydropower projects.In order to properly resettle the migrants in the reservoir area,at the present stage,it is necessary not only to 'get out of the way,but also to be able to live steadily.' The idea of sustainable development.To this end,Ben Based on the perspective of sustainable livelihood,this paper adopts the survey data of migrants in Huidong County,Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture,Sichuan Province,in the reservoir area of Wudongde Hydropower Station,Jinsha River,and empirically analyzes the impact of sustainable livelihood of migrants in the reservoir area by using probit model.The empirical results show that:(1)with the increase of the education level,the sustainable livelihood of the migrants in the reservoir area is promoted to a certain extent;(2)the vocational training experience will improve the sustainable livelihood of the migrants in the reservoir area to a certain extent compared with those who do not have the vocational training experience;(3)compared with those who have not joined Joining the industrialized organization will affect its sustainable livelihood to a certain extent;(4)with the increase of medical expenses,it will weaken the sustainable livelihood level of the immigrant in the reservoir area,and(5)the existing loan situation will have a negative impact on the sustainable livelihood of the immigrant in the reservoir area,compared with the non-existent loan situation;(6)Compared with the immigrant who has no working experience,having a working experience will promote the sustainable livelihood of the immigrant in the reservoir area;(7)with the increase of the amount of human intercourse,the continuous livelihood of immigrant in the reservoir area is promoted to a certain extent.Combined with the above empirical analysis and the actual situation of the resettlement in the reservoir area of Jinsha Wudongde hydropower station,in order to better the resettlement work of the reservoir area and to enhance the support policy level in the later stage,the paper puts forward the following policy suggestions:(1)in order to open the peasant eveningschool form,To organize the participation of immigrant farmers in the reservoir area,to increase the re-education and skills training of the immigrants in the reservoir area,and to enhance the ability and opportunities for the employment and reemployment of Farmers.(2)the government should not only increase its efforts to publicize the social and economic organizations or other legal groups,but also guide the relevant industrial organizations to exert their full role,so as to make the farmers accumulate more social resources so as to benefit the farmers ' livelihood Choices.(3)to further improve the construction of Yi min Qu Medical and health system and alleviate the effect of migration due to disease in reservoir Area.(4)actively guide the development of modern agriculture and the tertiary industry,increase farmers ' incomes,alleviate the livelihood pressure of farmers,improve the livelihood of farmers.
