"Mobile Phone As A Friend" : Research On Mobile Phone Subculture Of Zhuang Youth Workers

Throughout the development of social history,it is not difficult to find that "things" can always interact with the environment and people in a specific background,and then shape an overall social and cultural appearance.As a necessary product of modern life,"mobile phone" has imperceptibly penetrated into People's Daily life since its emergence.Taking "mobile phone" as the entry point,taking mobile phone as a kind of "thing",and exploring the changes of social life and personal cognition and social communication reflected by the changes of mobile phone in various aspects are the focus of this paper's analysis and research.This paper holds that as a media that penetrates into all aspects of People's Daily life,the development and use of mobile phones should be investigated and described in detail from the specific daily life in order to explore the changes in social and cultural appearance and personal emotion and cognition reflected by mobile phones,so as to achieve "deep description".In order to record the changes in the development and use of mobile phones in as much detail as possible,this paper selected Beigong village,Ertang town,Wuxuan county,Laibin city,Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region as a field point.The author observed and recorded the mobile phone use of young and middle-aged migrant workers in Beigong village for about ten months,and obtained first-hand information through online and offline surveys,laying a sufficient field foundation for this paper.This paper consists of three parts: introduction,five chapters and conclusion.The introduction makes a comprehensive statement of the thesis from four aspects,including the reason,purpose and significance of the topic selection,research review,main contents of the research and research methods.The first chapter is titled "within the village and outside the village" : an overview of the field points.This chapter not only introduces the geographical space,means of production,social customs and other aspects of Beigong village in the field,but also extends the field research point from Beigong village to the living area outside the village of Beigong village's young migrant workers,so as to write multi-point ethnography.On the whole,record and describe the living environment of the young migrant workers in Beigong village as comprehensively as possible.The second chapter titled "falling leaves" :description of the young bei gong village migrants living condition,the scope of this chapteris mainly divided into Beigong village life scope of young migrants are divided into "the life" and "village life",and their food,clothing,shelter,transportation,labor work,and rest,entertainment,social interaction and so on material life and spiritual life to record and describe,analysis in these aspects,what cell phones play a main role.Third chapter titled "changing" : Beigong village youth mobile phone usage,migrant workers are mainly introduces the basic knowledge and button machine and smart young Beigong village migrants smartphone usage,and emphatically describes the groups on the cell phone use because of the wisdom of life,strive to do the field object "deep trace record." The fourth chapter and the fifth chapter is the focus of the subject analysis,the fourth chapter entitled mobile phone as the "mirror" : Zhuang young migrants the mapping of the self,the use of anthropology consumption symbol,identity,people view related theory,analysis of mobile phone as a physical presence,mobile phone in the aspects of identity,self projected role,significance and value.Fifth chapter entitled mobile phone as a "field" : Zhuang young migrants in the virtual world,the focus from Beigong village young migrants in the real world to the inner world,through to the young Beigong village migrants in the mobile phone software,mobile phone content such as QQ,weibo,WeChat account,use of analysis to explore the serious effect of mobile phone to the community.In the conclusion part of this paper,on the basis of the previous summary,relying on the information technology of mobile phone,the negative impact of mobile phone on the use of young migrant workers in Beigong village is reflected.The main point of this paper is that with the development of science and technology and the progress of society,mobile phone has gradually become a necessity for the young migrant workers in Beigong village."Mobile phone" runs through every aspect of the social life of the young migrant workers in Beigong village.The change of mobile phone function has brought certain influence on the social communication mode,emotional and moral experience and life thinking mode of the group.When the mobile phone exists as a kind of hardware and object,it becomes a kind of identity,symbol and conspicuous consumption symbol for the young migrant workers in Beigong village to relieve their anxiety and complete the construction of their self-identity.When mobile phone exists as a kind of software and non-physical object,it becomes the main carrier for the existence of network virtual field and an important supportfor the reconstruction of "out-of-domain body".No matter from the hardware aspect of the mobile phone,or from the software aspect of the mobile phone,we can see that for the young migrant workers in Beigong village,the mobile phone is as indispensable as the external organs of the body.The mobile phone is not only the criterion of the group's self-identification and the symbol of identity,but also reflects the self-separation of the group when facing the pressure of social life.
