Research On The Impact Of Government Environmental Regulation On Corporate Environmental Performance

In recent years,various environmental problems have become increasingl y prominent.How to improve the environmental performance of enterprises and improve the environmental conditions have been widely concerned by governments and people.Under the background of energy saving,low carbon and environmental protection,governments have introduced relevant environmental policies to guide corporate environmental protection,improve corporate environmental performance,and urge enterprises to disclose environmental information.How to improve environmental performance not only attracts the attention of business managers,but also attracts the attention of stakeholders such as government agencies,investors,news media and consumers.Environmental regulation is diverse in China and is regulated in various environmental regulations.W hich kind of regulation should be the focus,and whether the intensity of each regulation is reasonable,we need to subdivide environmental regulations and measure their effectiveness.This paper uses environmental regulation classification as an entry poi nt to study the impact of different types of environmental regulation on corporate environmental performance,and introduces regional corruption and public participation,and explores the impact of regional corruption and public participation in environmen tal protection on the effectiveness of environmental regulation.First of all,the article divides environmental regulation into constrained environmental regulation and incentive environmental regulation,and theoretically analyzes the mechanism of environmental regulation on corporate performance.Different types of environmental regulation have different effects on corporate environmental costs,and stakeholders and enterprises The information asymmetry between them also has an impact on the governance effectiveness of environmental regulation.Secondly,based on the data of listed companies in 2011-2016,a multi-logistic model was used to investigate the impact of different types of environmental regulations on corporate environmental performance.At the same time,according to the degree of corruption and the degree of public participation,the regression was carried out.The results show that there is no unified conclusion on the impact of constrained and incentive environmental regulations on corporate environmental performance.Environmental corruption can damage the effectiveness of environmental regulation,and public participation in environmental supervision can improve corporate environmental performance.In view of this,the central government should guide local governments to refine environmental regulations and adopt an environmental system that is tailored to local conditions.control local corruption and encourage public participation in order to effectively reduce corporate environmental violations.Improve the purpose of corporate environmental performance.This paper examines the effectiveness of different environmental regulations and the governance path to improve utility,finds the path to effectively improve the environmental performance of enterprises,and provides reasonable suggestions for the regionalized management of China's binding and incentive environmental regulation intensity.
