Role Of Russia In Syrian Crisis

The article examines the Russian presence in Syrian crisis.The civil war happened in Syria and divided its land into pieces.The current regime is about to lose control over the country and the situation is about to get out hand.The importance of Russian help can be described as the last chance for Syrian government,since Russia is the only country that supports both diplomatically and militarily based on SovietSyria treaty of friendship and cooperation.The tight relationship of both countries caused a reliable relationship in present,since Syrian government would not request to the Kremlin a military support without a reliable background.The Syrian leadership is interested in maintaining such intimate cooperation as well as Russia is interested in Syrian political stability.Both sides get benefits from the bilateral relationship,since Syria can restore the influence within the country and get diplomatic acceptance in international arena and also Russia will be able to keep the only Arabic ally and keep the military base in Middle east in order to have influence in that area and have access to oil field.The image of Russian Federation is not that reliable in international arena.The Syrian Crisis in some way can return the trust and improve Russian position as a global power.The conflict in Ukraine markedly ruin Russian image and deprived allies,the continuous support could save Syria as a trustable partner.The Humanitarian help and Military action are one of the strategic steps in saving Syrian Unity against illegal militants.The Civil War in Syria is one of the results of Arab Spring,which Russia considers it as protest against current governments with extremists' actions,in turn considered as a terrorism.It is a sensitive issue affect international security.The military actions are not avoidable measure to save the world order and Syrian integrity as well.
