Conceptual metaphor is not only a rhetoric,but also a way of thinking and cognition.It means that the cognitive subject establishes a way of mapping from the source domain to the target domain by comparing the similarity,and establishing a mapping between the source domain and the target domain.Conceptual metaphor is also prevalent in biology teaching.The use of conceptual metaphor in teaching can help students understand the biological concept systematically,form biological viewpoints and develop innovative thinking ability.In order to explore the application of conceptual metaphor in biology teaching,this paper makes a systematic study on the theory,application status and strategy of conceptual metaphor through literature research,text analysis,investigational research.The details are as follows:The first part:Overview of conceptual metaphor.This part mainly elaborates the definition of conceptual metaphor,the relationship between conceptual metaphor and metaphor,knowledge transfer,analogical reasoning,the development process of conceptual metaphor,there search status of conceptual metaphor at home and abroad,and conceptual metaphor in high school biology teaching and so on,so as to construct the theoretical system of conceptual metaphor.The second part:the conceptual metaphor analysis of biology teaching in senior high school.By using the textual analysis method,with the text analysis object of the book molecular and cell published by People's Education Press for high school students' required course,the paper will discuss the conceptual metaphor showed in the book and other relative conceptual metaphor coming from other places teachers will use.This research is in order to help biology teachers understand the metaphorical composition of metaphor and metaphorical mapping mechanism better.The third part:the use of conceptual metaphor in high school biology teaching.This part of the study first used the interview research method to 22 high school biology teachers in a secondary school as the interview object,analyzed the biology teacher's understanding and application of the conceptual metaphor,and found that most biology teachers used conceptual metaphor in teaching,but little is known about conceptual metaphor theory,and there are even having some misunderstandings.Then,combining with the theory of conceptual metaphor and the practice of biology teaching in middle school.This paper puts forward a series of strategies for using biological meta-teaching in conceptual metaphor,including changing the misconceptions of biology teachers about conceptual metaphor,increasing the knowledge reserves of biology teachers,the concept of metaphorical use of the principle of the use of conceptual metaphor for teaching methods,including teaching methods include:to takeappropriate teaching strategies and teaching methods,select the appropriate conceptual metaphor,the rational use of conceptual metaphor in teaching,the introduction of appropriate conceptual metaphor,The Reasoning Structure of Integrating Different Conceptual Metaphors.Finally,through the two teaching fragments,show the use of conceptual metaphor.The use of conceptual metaphor in biology teaching not only stimulates students' interest,but also helps students understand abstract biological concepts and knowledge,in addition,it's cultivates students'conceptual metaphorical thinking.Therefore,it is hoped that this study will help the first-line teachers to form a systematic and comprehensive understanding of conceptual metaphor and make better use of conceptual metaphor for biology teaching.
