In recent years,picture book as a unique type of children's literature,has become a new educational teaching resources.The picture book can not only stimulate the chi Id's reading interest,improve reading ability,cultivate reading habits,but also allow c hildren to enjoy reading pleasure,so the book is widely used in parent-child education and kindergarten,primary school teaching.However,how to effectively carry out the teaching of reading books in rural areas with relatively weak education and teaching i s an urgent problem.In this study,10 students from the first and second grade of Gaoqi Elementary School in Jingning County of Gansu Province were selected as the research object and the second language teacher Z teacher was the partner of the study.Taking the action research method as the main method,we chose the six picture books suitable for children to read,and established the three teaching themes of "we love reading","rules and habits" and "my good mother".To read independently-teachers and students read-to expand the extension of the activities for the teaching model,the implementation of the three stages of reading teaching activities.The results show that the teaching activities of reading books are suitable for the teaching of low reading in rural primary schools,and the students of reading teaching in rural areas have the following effects:stimulating students 'interest in reading,enhancing students' comprehensive ability and enriching Student 's emotional experience.Based on the research conclusion,this paper provides some reference for the teaching of reading books in the low level of primary school from the aspects of the selection of the picture books,the arrangement of teaching activities and the richness of the extension activities.
