With the continuous promotion of the curriculum reform,students' mathematics application ability is attached great importance all over the world.Gender difference is a group difference.It refers to the gender difference caused by different factors such as physiology,psychology,environment and so on.Are there gender difference in mathematical ability?What are the effects of the difference on high school students'mathematical ability?To clarify these problems can provide a reference for the cultivation of mathematical application ability of high school boys and girls,which has certain practical significance.This paper uses the methods of questionnaire survey and literature review.First,analyze the papers and books which are published by domestic and international experts,and combine the thought of myself,thus making some necessary comments.Again with the questionnaire high school boys' and girls' mathematical application ability difference analysis,the conclusions are as follows:(1)The ability of high school students to solve Mathematical application problems is good,showing that girls are better than boys in gender,but there is no significant difference.(2)The ability of solving mathematical modeling problems of senior high school students is not very good as a whole,showing that boys are higher than girls in gender,and there are significant differences.(3)The basic knowledge of mathematics has a significant influence on solve the mathematical application problems and mathematical modeling problems of girls,but it has no significant effect on solve the mathematical application problems and mathematical modeling problems of boys.(4)The lack of life experience and poor mathematical reading ability are the major obstacles for boys and girls to solve mathematical application problems and mathematical modeling problems.In addition,operational capability also affects boys,and the lack of basic knowledge of mathematics,the dependence on teachers,the fear and lack of interest in the application of mathematics have a deep influence on the promotion of girls' application ability in mathematics.Finally,the statistical conclusion from the Physiological factors,non-intellectual factors,social environmental factors is analyzed,and combined with the current high school new curriculum reform and teaching experience,put forward the corresponding measures and Suggestions of teaching,in order to achieve their mathematical application ability both men and women can achieve the best level.
