“Football Spectacle” refers to the media's use of a variety of mediation methods to present football or football matches as spectacular and fascinating wonderful sights,and then to shape them into a modern style with infinite charm and an irritating audience.Pop Culture.It was born under the cultural background of media speech hegemony continuation,mass media technology leap,media pan-entertainment turn,and media and business complicity.It is embodied in the massive accumulation of football images,entertainment and celebrity effects,and the audience Jubilant,and the unprecedented prosperity of football business,with a distinctive spectacular features.The media plays a pivotal role in the process of the formation of the phenomenon of “Football Spectacle”.It participates in the construction of football spectacle with its unique mediation.The media skillfully uses symbolic strategies and narrative techniques,through cross-text manipulation,the colorful media scene is continuously transmitted to the audience,use to explaining the mainstream status and symbolic meaning of football,interpreting the complex meaning of football,and guiding the public.Aesthetics and taste;while embedding nationalist sentiment and sports fashion trends,it also caters to the ideological orientation of the audience,thereby giving the football a magical power.This set of construction machines is used for audiences,directing them to crazyly chase the “simulated football” in the media image,and finally playing such an effect that conceptual indoctrination and value persuasion.From the point of view of media criticism,the phenomenon of “Football Spectacle”is inextricably linked with the media's control intentions and news communication behavior.The practical activities of the media have fallen short of the value of sports and run counter to the essence of sports.The phenomenon of“Football Spectacle”promoted by the media has also induced the abnormal growth of the sports industry and alienated the sports cultural ecology.Establishing a correctivemechanism for this phenomenon can be considered from two aspects of external forces and the media's own statute,build a complete regulatory network,and strive to improve audience media literacy and the aesthetic level of football,and require the media to strengthen their sense of responsibility and technical checks.Based on Kellner's theory of Media Spectacle,this article examines the process of football spectacle from the perspective of media criticism,examines the influence of media's deep involvement on spectacle phenomenon,and meticulously combs this phenomenon and constructs a mechanism for concealing the media.The depth reveals that it seeks to establish a theoretical view that reflects how the media use media rights to guide and persuade audiences to become obsessed with football and eventually succumb to the media's will;at the same time,it has a critical reflection on the phenomenon of football speculation and disseminates practice deviations based on the media.Provide a viable solution to curb the spread of its negative effects.
