In recent years,higher vocational education has developed rapidly in China.Not only has it adapted to the needs of China's economic and social development,but also satisfies the nation's hunger for higher education.From an educational perspective,the key for higher vocational education to cultivate talents for economic and social needs lies in the implementation of practical teaching.However,with the social and economic transformation and upgrading of our country,more requirements for higher vocational training are put forward,which means the colleges must raise the level of practical teaching.Practical teaching is an important part of education teaching and is the key to improve the quality of talents training.Practical teaching is closely related to situational awareness,but there are still some problems in practical teaching activities.Situated learning theory emphasizes the importance of context.It is believed that students should be proactive in the environment and construct meaningful knowledge through interactive and cooperative learning.Teachers should focus on arranging meaningful contexts and provide guidance for students.This theory attaches importance to the action based on situation,legitimate peripheral participation,the construction of the practice community,etc.Its theoretical and practical viewpoints have important guiding significance for the reform and optimization of practical teaching.This article is divided into six parts.The first part mainly describes the background,research significance,research methods and so on.The second part is basic theoretical research,including the development stage of situated learning theory and the analysis of relevant concepts;the connotation,characteristics and main forms of practical teaching in higher vocational education.The third part is a review of relevant research at home and abroad.The fourth part summarizes the main problems in practical teaching in higher vocational colleges based on survey results.The problems are the deviation in practice view;practical teaching condition lags behind;the weakness in practical teaching faculty;practical teaching implementation process is unscientific;practice teaching evaluation distortion;school-enterprise cooperation is not enough,etc.In the fifth part,according to the enlightenment of the situated learning theory to the practical teaching of higher vocational education,I put forward the optimization tactics,such as we must clear practical teaching objectives;improve practical teaching conditions;strengthen the construction of practical teaching staff;enrich practical teaching process;improve practical teaching evaluation and deepen school-enterprise cooperation,etc.
