China's Historical textbooks are teaching books written according to the national curriculum standards for history.History textbooks are an important part of teaching.With the continuous deepening of Chinese history curriculum reform,Domestic and foreign scholars gradually heated up the study of Chinese Textbooks.However,due to some political reasons,there are great differences between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait in the aspects of social system,economic development,cultural orientation and historical memory.This article will select "Ordinary Senior High School Curriculum Standards Experimental Textbook-History"(2007 edition)published by People's Education Press of Chinese mainland and "General History of Senior High School"(2015 edition)published by Sanmin Publishing Bureau as the comparison objects.We will compare the history of the United States in these two textbooks.It is hoped that through comparative studies,we can find differences and similarities in the compilation and content of textbooks on both sides of the Taiwan Strait.We can provide some thoughts and suggestions for the preparation of new textbooks in the future.This paper will be divided into three parts.The first part of the paper is an introduction,which mainly explains the research background,research status,research significance and methods.The second part of the paper is the main text,divided into three chapters.The first chapter begins with the compilation of teaching materials for the two editions,and overall grasps the distribution and style of the history of the United States in these two textbooks.The second chapter is a comparison of the text parts of the two versions of the textbook.First of all,we compared the design,analysis and design features of the two editions of textbooks,and We explored the practicality of the design.Secondly,we compared the narration style of textbooks,the types of historical materials they used,and the evaluation attitudes of the United States;Finally,we compared theauxiliary parts of the text.Mainly from the introduction of texts,knowledge development and charts.The third chapter is an analysis of two editions of textbooks.We analyzed the features and deficiencies in the preparation of these two versions of the textbook and put forward our thinking and suggestions.The third part of the paper is an epilogue.From the perspective of teaching methods and learning methods,we have raised the issues that need to be noted in the compilation of textbooksthrough the comparison of the U.S.history parts of the two editions of the textbooks.
