Under the “independent recruitment” system of sports majors,more and more talented youth athletes have entered universities for higher education.Those athlete-students who enrolled in sport major will surely play an important role in both athletic and mass sport in the future,and their current situation should be paid more close attention by the researchers.The study,mainly applying to the methodologies of measurements and statistics,conducts an anylasis on sport-majored women volleyball players in Shenyang Sport University.It focused on the features of lower-body-joints muscles and essential physical qualities,and concluded the relationships between them as well.The study also proposed some references and practical evidences for teacher training and teaching in sport universities.The study came to the following results.Firstly,it shows that the peak value and relative peak value of torques about flexor and extensor decrease with the augment of measuring angular velocity.And total power capacity increases first and decreases later,therefore average power capacity increases gradually with the augment of measuring angular velocity.Secondly,the flexor-muscle strength difference on both sides of the knee joint reach to11% and the ratio of flexing and extending about hip and knee joints shows lower value than normal.Thirdly,four of those five essential physical qualities show inter-relations,except for Stepping-cross result.Fourthly,flexor and extensor muscle strength of hip joints are close related to Stepping-cross,Running-up Height and Standing-triple Jump.And knee joints are related to Running-up Height,Standing-triple Jump and Standing-long Jump.And ankle joints are related to all the physical qualities.The study drew some conclusions as followed.Firstly,lower-body-joints have better low speed muscles than high speed muscles,and extors have better strength than flexors.Meanwhile the muscles on both sides of hips and ankles show little difference about muscle strength,which implies that hip and ankle muscles have developed better coordination.Secondly,the ratio of flexor and extensor torques on hip and knee joints stays lower,whereas muscle strength on both sides of knee joints differs a lot,which implies that knee jointsare easily injured.It is necessary for the players to enforce weak side muscle strength of knee joints.Thirdly,Stepping-cross requires comprehensive techniques and high-level skills of players,and the other four qualities need more speed power and influence each other as well.Fourthly,the coordination of knee and ankle muscles should be focused during bouncing qualities training,whereas the coordination of hip and ankle muscles should be focused during moving qualities training.The study also proposed some suggestions.Firstly,it is necessary to regulate training schedule of flexor and extensor muscles of lower-body-joints,especially for the muscles on both sides of the joints,when developing lower body strength.Meanwhile,regular monitoring to the muscles of both sides of the specific joints is a necessity.If it showed distinct strength differences,the weak side muscles must be enforced in order to prevent injuries.Secondly,during physical qualities training courses,Stepping-cross movements should not be combined with other training,and the other trainings could be set up as a combination in order to build up the coordination of joints muscles.Thirdly,knee and ankle muscle strength should be enforced during bouncing qualities training,whereas hip and ankle muscle strength should be paid more attention during moving qualities training.Fourthly,every single technique of volleyball needs a combination of certain body joints,therefore,it is important to develop a coordination of body joints with no neglecting of any specific muscle.Finally,it is strongly suggested that youth women volleyball players should develop their weak side knee muscle strength in order to prevent injuries.
