The employ ability of college students has attracted much attention from circles like higher education and human resource development etc.The employment problem in Xinjiang has being extremely concerned by the whole society.Related scholars have conducted lots of study,but the problem still has not been completely solved.Besides,Xinjiang is in a critical moment when the economic system revolution is intensifying and the social structure keeps changing.So there are quite a lot of labor force in the market,but few get a job,which leads to surplus workforce in labor market.As a result,it brings bigger employment pressure,the supply and demand conflict in labor market becomes increasingly obvious,and it even causes a series of social and economic concerns.This study aims at minority college students in Xinjiang.It conducts survey in 4 universities in Xinjiang to gain the employ ability model of minority college students,then deduces their ability from the model,and studies the factors that affect their employment.By studying the difference between employ ability and social demands,this article puts forward specific proposals to improve employment of minority college students.First of all,this study adopts open-ended questionnaire,and interviews from 3 different aspects including company staff,employment tutor in colleges and minority students to extract students' behavior and psychological features about college employ ability to ask experts to help to further confirm.Then to build a theoretical model after reviewing and learning countless literature at home and abroad.After compiling the questionnaire,conducting exploratory factor analysis on the collected data,and validating the reliability and validity of the questionnaire,it finally forms a formal scale and builds employ ability factor model.The employ ability of minority college students include 3 dimensions: basic working ability,employment development ability and employment personality characteristics.The basic working ability includes learning ability,knowledge application ability,practical ability,language ability,interpersonal skill and adaptive capacity.Employment ability includes career planning ability,teamwork,crisis management ability and self-presentation ability.Then,this article adopts econometric model to empirically validate the influence factor on employ ability of college students.Data analysis shows that different genders,the only child or not,parents' education degree,politic status and academic achievement exert a remarkable influence on employ ability of minority college students.This article analyzes the cause to these influencing factors.Lastly,this article discusses the causes to the gap between employ ability of minority college students and social demands,and discusses from external factors and the school side.Then it puts forward 3 policy proposals to improve employ ability of minority college students: 1)To construct the employ ability evaluation system of minority college students;2)to improve the employ ability cultivation mechanism for minorities in colleges;3)to improve the self-cultivation ability of minority college students.The study of employ ability of minority college students and model building not only enrich the study result in theoretical circle to a certain extent,but also give reference to employ ability cultivation in colleges and employ ability self-evaluation of minority college students etc.But there's still a long way to go to further study their employ ability,and it deserves continuous attention and hard work in the near future.
