The uninterrupted development of the Chinese civilization over thousands of years shows eloquently that the excellent Chinese traditional culture is the root and soul of the Chinese nation and the spiritual nourishment of the Chinese nation based on and will be based on the forest of nations in the world forever.Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,Xi Jinping has talked about Chinese traditional culture on many occasions and expressed his recognition and respect for traditional culture and traditional ideological value system.On May 4,2015,he talked with students of Peking University,and repeatedly mentioned core values and cultural self-confidence.In January,2017,the central committee of the communist party of China and the state council issued the Opinions on Implementing the Project of Inheritance and Development of Chinese Excellent Traditional Culture,which put forward the important meaning,general requirements and key tasks of developing the excellent traditional culture of China,and the inheritance and development of the excellent traditional Chinese culture has reached the national strategic level.It put forward that requirement and task of the excellent traditional culture to go through the national education.The 19th national congress meeting pointed out that China's development has entered a new era.The new era has the characteristics of the new era,and the traditional culture in the new era should also have more scientific interpretation,education at all stages should also re-understand and explore the rational,moral and aesthetic significance of the excellent traditional culture education,do a good job in the work of traditional culture into the campus,and forma complete system of integrating the excellent traditional culture into education of the school.The primary school stage is a critical period for the formation of children's basic world outlook,outlook on life and values,Excellent traditional culture education is of great significance to the growth of primary school students.Some scholars pointed out that children in Chinese primary schools and kindergartens in the 21st century are still reciting tang poems in the 8th century and feeling the beauty and rationality of education,which is a miracle in the world.It is reasonable to believe that Chinese tradition and culture are well known to that pupils of the vast field of the foundation education and continue to carry forward,and the Chinese context will continue to last for a long time.The premise and foundation of traditional culture education and inheritance is the rational recognition of culture.The purpose of this study is to accurately grasp the current cognition status of primary school students on traditional culture,discover existing problems,explore the causes of the problems,and then propose strategies to improve the cognition of traditional culture of primary school students,so as to provide reference for the management of primary school education.In this paper,four chapters are arranged for discussion.First,the basic problems of the research are clarified and relevant research results of traditional cultural cognition are sorted out to provide references for this research.Then,starting from the cultivation of students'values in primary school,this paper attempts to explain the spiritual connotation of excellent traditional Chinese culture and explore the education value of traditional culture to pupils.Select the work of the three primary schools in Y city of Guangdong province grade four to six students as investigation object,research students attitude towards traditional culture,the contents of the traditional culture cognition and affect pupils cognitive factors of traditional culture,analysis of primary school students to cognitive problems existing in the traditional culture,and analyzes its reason.Finally,based on the relevant theories of children development and primary school education management,thispaper proposes strategies to improve the traditional culture cognition of primary school students from the aspects of stimulating interest,improving management and home-school interaction.
