In recent years,China's sprint project has developed rapidly.Su Bingtian has ran for 10 seconds and tied the Asian record. If China wants to maintain a long-lasting competitive level in the project,it is necessary to follow the training rules of sprint reserve talents and grasp the construction of sprint reserve talents that will make China a world leader in the project. As a world sprint powerhouse,Jamaica is not only its own genetic factors, but also has an excellent sprint reserve talent system.Through the methods of documentation, questionnaire and mathematical statistics, this paper compares the differences between China and Jamaica in the construction of sprint reserve talents system, deeply analyses the management system, training, transportation and guarantee, coaches' and athletes' attitude of training sprint reserve talents between China and Jamaica, and finds out the shortcomings of training sprint reserve talents in China.Combining with the specific situation of our country, this paper provides reasonable suggestions for the construction of reserve talents system of sprint events in our country.By comparing the two countries, main conclusions are as follows:1.As a traditional sport, track and field events are difficult to be effectively promoted in China, resulting in the loss of sprint reserve talents. In comparison,Jamaica has a larger mass base for sprint events, which facilitates the development of sprint events.2.In the aspect of selecting talents, most coaches in our country mainly rely on the experience of coaches and the sprint performance of athletes to select talents. The scientificity of selecting talents needs to be further improved. In the selection range, there are local factors restricting the selection of coaches in China, and Jamaica has a wide selection range.3.In terms of training funds, our government mainly allocates funds to training units at all levels. The sources of funding for training units are relatively single, and social forces are less invested. On the other hand,Jamaica is mainly funded by private enterprises, which combines sprinting with the market economy,so that funds can flow into the project.4.The age of sprinting youth athletes in China is generally older than that of Jamaican teenagers, but the number of training sessions per week is not much different from that of Jamaica.5.The training of young sprint reserve talents in our country is mainly concentrated in the sports teams and schools of various provinces and cities, which is a more specialized training mode under the national system.Jamaica is mainly concentrated in the training mode of local schools and clubs.Only when Jamaican athletes become national athletes, they will enter the three-centralized training mode.6.Among the goals of sprint teenagers, most of our teenagers hope to enter universities in the future, while Jamaica hopes more to become a national athlete. In addition, some teenagers in both countries do not attach enough importance to thestudy of cultural education, and the relationship between learning and training should be further strengthened by training units.
