Research On The Impact Of VAR On Judges' Penalty Characteristics In The 2018 Chinese Super League Season

It is necessary for China to introduce VAR technology for the first time in the 2018 season in order to provide theoretical support for the study and development of football practitioners and football enthusiasts.In this paper,the characteristics of 240 referees' penalties in the 2018 season of the Chinese Super League are taken as the research object,and various research methods are used to make a comprehensive inquiry into the impact of match data.The following results are obtained: 1.Goal events have the highest involvement rate in the four categories of events in the 2018 season.The emergence of VAR has increased the accuracy of offside goal determination by 40%,and the number of penalty interventions for home and guest teams is close.2.Most VAR interventions take 2-3 minutes in the 2018 season.The highest proportion occurs at the end of each half,and the interventionrate in the second half is significantly higher than that in the first half.3.VAR's involvement has improved the accuracy of penalty kicks in the penalty area by 30%,and nearly 70% of the penalty kicks in the whole season have been successful in assisting the penalty.4.The VAR of the 2018 Chinese Super League has more involvement in the early and the end of the season,but less in the middle of the season.5.Compared with the two seasons,the addition of VAR reduced the number of penalties,but increased the number of disciplinary penalties;the proportion of goals and penalties increased;the average net playtime,maximum and minimum net play time increased.6.The main positive effects of VAR include improving the accuracy of penalty,improving the international status of our referees,and curbing serious foul violence.The negative effects include destroying the rhythm of the game,causing new problems in team cooperation,causing distress to the audience and high cost.
