Sports traditional project schools are divided into national,provincial and municipal levels,it play a leading and exemplary role in cultivating students' interest in physical exercise,enhancing students' physique,improving students' sports ability,promoting quality education,cultivating people with all-round development of morality,intelligence,physical fitness and beauty,and excellent sports reserve talents.By using the methods of documentation,questionnaire,interview,mathematical statistics and taking 16 middle schools which were appraised as Provincial Traditional Sports Schools in Guangzhou from 2016 to 2020 as the objects of investigation,this paper conducts a questionnaire survey on the project layout,management system,facilities of venues and equipment,training and competition,teachers and athletes of provincial traditional sports schools to understand the basic situation of development.The main problems were found and suggestions were put forward to promote the development of Provincial Traditional Sports schools.The results show that:1.The construction of Provincial Traditional Sports Schools in Guangzhou promotes and promotes the vigorous development of sports in Guangzhou.It is of great significance to pay attention to quality education and promote the development of school sports.The distribution of provincial traditional sports schools is unbalanced and the project settings are unreasonable.2.The organizational management system is jointly managed by the Provincial Sports Committee and the Provincial Department of Education.The leaders of schools pay little attention to training and other work.The facilities and facilities of school sports venues basically meet the needs of the construction and development of traditional sports schools.The sources of sports funds are single and the funds are insufficient.3.The training time and frequency of the Provincial Traditional Sports Schools in Guangzhou are reasonable,which conforms to the regulation of "School Management for Traditional Sports Events".Students can basically guarantee to take part in one hour of physical exercise every day.Most schools organize training in winter and summer vacation.The situation of holding traditional sports games is better,and the school team is scientifically managed.However,athletes have fewer opportunities to participate in advanced sports events.The contradiction between learning and training is a problem to be solved in the development of Provincial Traditional schools.4.The age and age structure of coaches in Guangzhou provincial traditional sports schools are reasonable,and the situation of coaches' continuing education is better.However,the number of coaches with higher professional titles and academic qualifications is on the low side,with more males and fewer females,and the ability of sports scientific research is low.The orientation of individual coaches deviates from the starting point of the development of traditional schools.5.Guangzhou provincial traditional sports schools have reasonable sex ratio and uneven sports grades.The training period is mainly five years or more.The main motivation of participating in the training is to love this project,low academic performance,balanced attitude towards learning,wide sources of athletes,and the main transportation channels are sports colleges and traditional schools at higher levels.To this end,the following suggestions are put forward: 1.Balanced development of all regions,rational planning of provincial sports traditional project settings.2.Improve the management system and strengthen the leadership's attention to traditional sports.3.Broaden channels to raise funds through various forms.4.Learning and training should be done together to solve the contradiction between learning and training.5.Strengthen cooperation and exchanges and improve the competition system.6.Improve the overall level of traditional school coaches.
