The questions in the Advanced Placement World History(AP World History)exam(DBQ for short)have been shouldering the important task of making up for the deficiency of traditional History teaching since it came into being,which has a significant impact on the teaching of American History and even the teaching of global History.DBQ questions are set in accordance with the requirements of American national history curriculum standards and AP world history curriculum on subject skills and practical methods.It reveals the examination of students' historical thinking ability from the course framework to the examination description,from the examination question prompt to the examination question material,from the analysis pattern to the grading standard,from the score statistics to the grading report and so on.The ability of historical thinking is one of the important abilities of modern history subject,and also an important characteristic of the value of history course and the professional development of history education.AP world history DBQ test questions from the development of teaching objectives to the implementation of specific teaching strategies,from the test prompt "analysis,evaluation,explanation,demonstration,description,comparison,discussion" and other behavioral verbs meaning,and then to the scoring standards "basic core" to "expand the core" two different levels of requirements,And S.O.A.P.S.T.DBQ questions,P.E.R.S.I.A.,G.R.E.S.P.E.C.T.mode,S.H.O.C.K.A.N.D.A.W.E.mode,O.P.T.I.C.five analysis model which embody its claim to test students' history thinking ability.The author collected nearly five years AP world history DBQ questions and responses samples of different students,and analyze the AP world history DBQ paper examines the manifestation of historical thinking ability,and then traces the reasons for their occurrence is that the urban and rural differences,ethnic differences,teachers,students' own ability to effect the result of many aspects,this would be the AP world history DBQ questions thoroughly check history thinking ability analysis.By comparing this paper with the Chinese college entrance examination history question system,the author sums up some inspirations to facilitate the new round of history curriculum reform in China.
