As an emerging entertainment method in the Internet age,online games cover primary and secondary school students,college students and even adults,and gradually become an indispensable necessities of life for contemporary people.In the face of the huge game market,in order to earn more benefits,game developers often add a lot of violent elements to the game to attract more players.Many college students are obsessed with violent online games and even become game addiction.In recent years,the direct causal relationship between violent online games and individual aggression has been questioned.More and more researchers have placed their concerns on the player's own personality factors and external environmental factors.This study hold the view that in the process of the impact of violent online games on college students' aggression,the influencing factors are not single.Players' game contact,aggressive traits and game modes may have an impact on their post-game aggression.In order to further clarify the relationship between violent video games and college students' aggressiveness,and specifically explore the role of aggressive traits and game modes in the violent video games to the aggression of college students.This study explores the impact of violent video games under the regulation of aggressive traits and gameplay on college students' aggression through questionnaires and experimental methods.Research 1 mainly studies the relationship between the degree of contact between violent video games and the aggression of college students through questionnaires.Study 2 and Study 3 use the experimental method to study the impact of violent video games on aggressive aggression and behavior of college students through vocabulary decision-making tasks and competitive response tasks.Obtain the following main research conclusions:(1)There is a positive correlation between the degree of contact between college students' violent video games and their explicit aggression,and the degree of game contact and explicit aggression of boys are generally higher than that of girls.(2)The influence of violent video games on college students' aggressiveness is regulated by the player's aggressive traits.After operating violent video games,highly aggressive traits are more likely to show aggressive cognition and behavior than low-aggressive traits.The low-aggressive traits did not show obvious aggressive cognition and behavior;after operating non-violent video games,neither high-and low-aggressive traits showed obvious aggressive cognition and behavior.(3)The impact of violent video games on the aggression of player is regulated by the player's game mode.Compared with competitive games and single-player games,cooperative games are a better way to play,which can reduce game players to a certain extent,especially attacking cognition and behavior of highly aggressive trait game players.In addition,violent video games have a consistent effect on player's aggressive cognition and aggressive behavior.(4)There is consistency in the impact of violent video games on college students' aggressive cognition and aggressive behavior.The specific performance is that after the violent video game is operated,the activation of the player's relevant offensive cognition will cause the player's corresponding aggressive behavior.
