“Dandaofaxuan”is a martial arts monograph written by Cheng Zongyou,a martial artist of the Ming Dynasty, which mainly records the two-handed sword method. It is called "Remaining Skills of Cultivation" in conjunction with "Selection of Long Gun Method","Elucidation of Shaolin Stick Method" and "Puzhang Xinfa Method".It occupies an important position in the ancient books of Chinese martial arts. This study intends to analyze it from the cultural and technological perspectives. From the point of view of its current value, this paper explores and collates the historical background, positive attitude in cultural exchanges and some contents of traditional humanities that are worth learning in today's society through literature and logical analysis. The technical research mainly discusses and explains some sword potential combined with annotations and illustrations in Dandaofaxuan by means of practical verification and analysis of fighting principle.1.Cultural interpretation adheres to the principle of being in line with reality, and every part of it is connected with the present. This paper gives a brief account of Cheng Zongyou's life, from which we can feel the style and character of a generation of martial arts masters. It also gives a brief account of the exchange of martial arts at home and abroad in the historical background of the invasion of Japanese invaders into the southeastern border of the Ming Dynasty in the late Ming Dynasty.Cheng Zongyue felt his broad mind by studying the method of Japanese sword.Facing foreign culture,he could actively learn and integrate it with his own cultural tradition. This rational attitude which can absorb foreign culture and complement each other with the strengths of his own culture is worthy of praise.By sorting out the consideration of listing single-force sword method in Dandaofaxuan in order to avoid "obstacles facing enemies" and a few contents about sword method training,it can be found that Cheng Zongyou also took into account the training problems besides recording the sword method, especially the detailed annotations on some sword techniques that do not contain actual skills and attacking functions, emphasizing that there are some "fastidious" from the beginning to the end.All of these can feel that the impact of the ancient spirit of martial arts on people is not only the promotion of martial arts, but also the wider educational significance. As a historical book, the Dandaofaxuan naturally contains a lot of traditional nutrients that are beneficial to modern people. It is not difficult to find the yearning and slightly strange attitude of traditional scholars' dedication to "asking" in the Dandaofaxuan.2.In the technical interpretation, through discussing the concept of dao potential and classifying dao potential according to whether it has the function of skill and attack, not all the 34 dao potential have the function of skill and attack, some are the special "stress" in traditional wushu, which belongs to the category of culture.Emphasis on combat sword to the understanding of the potential,on the basis of the practice of their own, through the transform in the art of using saber sword potential and shaolin attack refer to cases, the arm recorded in ancient books such as compared to similar content, seeking similar in kendo techniques combat principle analysis, and combined with the book five rounds and the part family book such as martial arts concept of ancient books for interpretation. It is found that it is difficult to express the dynamic sword method conversion clearly in the static diagram in single sword method selection,so it should be mainly based on the notes. For some of these diagrams and notes are not directly consistent with the situation,it is necessary to understand and understand in practice.
