Currently,China has entered the aging society.Retirement policies will also face further transformations in exploration.This means for quite a long period in the future,China will continuously add a fairly large number of elderly labor force.Employees close to retirement are usually considered by managers to lack passion and innovation.Their comprehensive qualities including learning capacity are also deemed inferior to those of younger employees.It is believed that they cannot make breakthroughs in performance and skills and are unable to maximize value creation for the company.Therefore,they are gradually marginalized and transferred to posts with low technical requirement.The have to repeat simple and trivial work in their everyday life and can hardly gain recognition for their personal value in work.Consequently,cognition bias may emerge in them and after a long time this will exert a negative impact on their own self-efficacy,making it difficult for them to realize their own value.This will also affect their preparation for retirement,making it difficult for them to pass the last stage of their career smoothly.This article takes employees close to retirement in Company B as the major research objects and Bandura's relevant studies on the sense of self-efficacy as the theoretical basis.Firstly,through questionnaire survey and semi-structured interview method,the author conducts a field survey and visit in the company and a nalyzes the real factors influencing their sense of self-efficacy;secondly,adopting cognitive behavior theories and strength perspective,the author offers practical intervention through group work and case social work to explore practical means to enhance the sense of self-efficacy for employees close to retirement;finally,the author combines theories with practices,constantly reflects in the process of practices,seeks for strategies to further improve the sense of self-efficacy of employees close to retirement at Company B,and makes come fruitful explorations in enhancing the sense of happiness of employees close to retirement and facilitating the benign interaction between employees and the company through social work.
