| As a branch of sociology,sports sociology mainly studies the social representation of sports,the attributes of sports,the evolution process and the relationship between them.North America was the birthplaces of sports sociology,in the 1950 s.With the development of society and the deepening of research,the study of foreign sports sociology has made great progress both at the theory and at the empirical research.It has produced fruitful results and is even more prolific on the subject system.In recent years,scholars in the Chinese sociology field have devoted their efforts and energy to research and explore this field,and have overcome numerous social problems.New theoretical achievements have sprung up,but due to the social background of China at that time,the discipline was established later than foreign countries.There is still a certain gap between the development of the discipline and the output of scientific research results compared with those countries.In order to clarify the research situation in this research field,analyze the actual situation of the development of sports sociology,and deeply understand and master the mainstream trend of the research in this discipline,the advanced visual analysis software-CitespaceV has adopted in this paper to sort out and analyze the present knowledge in the field of sports sociology research including the number of papers,the authors,research institutes,key words,and references systematically,and this will help us understand the research progress of the subject from a holistic perspective,explore its future development trend,and further promote the construction and development of the discipline of sports sociology.The research includes papers as a data source about sports sociology published in the Nanjing University core journal of sports in the CSSCI database from 1998 to 2017.The logic analysis and co-citation analysis methods have been applied,with CitespaceV as a tool to visually analyze the publication year of the papers,authors,institutions,key words and citations.The following conclusions are drawn:(1)The sum of annual research papers of sports sociology in China is generally on the rise,which can be roughly divided into three stages: the rapid development stage(1998-2006),the stable development stage(2007-2011)and the comprehensive development stage(2012-2017).(2)In the past two decades,a total of 1,282 scholars have been engaged in the research of sports sociology;the leading figures in sports sociology in China are represented by Wang Jian,Zhang Lin,Tian Yupu,Chen Yuanxin,Yu Shanxu,etal.The degree of cooperation has formed five major cooperative network relationships;scholars with high influence in the field of sports sociology have Lu Yuanzhen?Bao Mingxiao?Ren Hai? Hu Xiaoming?Yu Shanxu?Yi Jiandong and their academic views have a higher citation rate and this will play a positive role in the subsequent research in this field.(3)In China,there are 467 scientific research institutions dedicated to the study of sports sociology.They are mainly sports colleges,normal universities and comprehensive universities in China.There is a network connection between them,indicating that there is a cooperative relationship between them.These institutions including Beijing Sport University,Chengdu Sports Institute,Xi'an Physical Education Institute,Shanghai Sports Institute,Tianjin Sports Institute,Guangzhou Sports Institute and the National Sports General Administration Sports Science Research Institute have built the largest cooperation network in the field of sports sociology research.On the other hand,several major institutes such as Chengdu Sports Institute,Xi'an Sports Institute,Shanghai Sports Institute,Tianjin Sports Institute and Guangzhou Sports Institute had formed a sub-network with each other.(4)The research interests in the field of sports sociology research in China mainly focus on sports industry,sports culture,competitive sports,sports management,sports theory,etc.The research hotspots have been refined and there are more specific research directions including the national fitness,mass sports,rural sports,community sports and public sports services.(5)The top five categories of knowledge base of sports sociology research in China are: research on the public sports service;Study of the Rural Sports;study on masses sports develppment;research on sports governance;research on the development of sports industry.There are certain rules between the constituent elements of the five knowledge groups,which are exerting subtle influences and promoting the development of sports in China,jointly promoting the research of sports socialization,and promoting the development of the discipline of sports sociology in a better way. |
