Female labor participation rate is an important indicator to measure a country's economic development and social civilization.Since the founding of new China goverment, due to the influence of national policies,China's female labor participation rate has always ranked high in the world. However,in order to control the excessive expansion of population size after the reform and opening up,China implemented the family planning policy. The reduction of the scale of the new born population led to the aggravation of the aging population in China in recent years, and China has begun to enter the aging society.China's female labor participation rate reduced year by year, even far more than the male labor participation rate drop, this phenomenon caused the attention of the department of labor and employment.According to the latest statistics, women make up 48% of the working-age workforce. In this context,to explore the influencing factors of female labor participation rate,so as to liberate female productivity and improve female labor participation rate,is not only a symbol of the improvement of social civilization, but also can further release the demographic dividend and provide a scientific basis for the future female labor security policy. On the basis of understanding the current situation of female labor participation rate in China, this paper analyzes the influencing factors of female labor participation rate from three aspects of macro, family and individual,Through the empirical analysis of the influencing factors of the female labor participation rate, this paper provides a scientific basis for the future development of the female labor participation rate in China. In order to eliminate the differences in regional development imbalance, empirical analysis was conducted by using panel data of three regions in China from 2006 to 2016.In order to understand the current situation of China's female labor participation rate, this paper analyzes the current situation of China's female labor participation rate from five aspects, including the overall situation, regional situation, industry situation, age situation and education level situation. Then based on the analysis of the current situation and literature research, from the macro, family and individual level to analyze the factors affecting the female labor force participation rate in China and the impact of the mechanism.Secondly, based on the analysis of the current situation and the results of theoretical analysis, this paper selects eight factors that influence the labor participation rate of Chinese women, which are: trade openness, proportion of employees employed in the tertiary industry, divorce rate, dependency ratio, fertility rate, income level, education degree and health expectation. The panel model of east, central and west region was based on the provincial data of China from 2006 to 2016,and male labor participation rate was added as the control group to observe whether regional and gender differences existed in the influence of the same factor. It turns out that the female labor participation rate is more likely to be affected by the rate of divorce rate, the dependency ratio and the fertility rate. The health expectations and the education degree can be a part of the increase in the participation rate in female labor force. The employment proportion of the tertiary industry and the trade openness have different impacts in different region.Based on theoretical and empirical research, this paper draws a conclusion that although the female labor participation rate in China shows a downward trend, there are still factors that can promote the female labor participation rate. This paper makes the following suggestions : adjusting the industrial structure, improving the employment security system;strengthening the legal protection of women in marriage;strengthening infrastructure construction and accelerating the development of education.
