Wushu International Image Communication And Construction

With the increasing influence of China in international pattern,China has been taken up the attention of international society gradually,and Chinese international image is constructed and shaped by other countrys.But not all of those image are good because of different ideology,values,state interests and barely understand Chinese culture.So,cultural transmission is vital for constructing good international image.As representative of Chinese outstanding culture,the communication of wushu has a wholesome effect on expressing Chinese international image and its own development.This paper adopts documentation,logical,expert interview,content and ground theory methods to study the current situation of wushu international communication.Based on essay capturing,operable,scientific of research data,choosing New York Times and China Daily as object media and use content method to analyze its wushu reports to find the similarities and differences of wushu reports to seek the way of wushu international communication.Study shows that the similarities focus on the values and characteristics of wushu,wushu cognition,wushu studying and kungfu movies.the differences focus on following aspects,New York Times concentrates on the scientific research of taichi,China Daily pays more attention to wushu inherit,communication and development.We can see that both New York Times and China Daily have correct cognition of wushu and positive report tendency.In consideration of wushu characteristics and report similarities and differences,the ideas of wushu international communication should be based on following aspects: enhancing wushu scientific research and it reports,standardizing wushu movement system and increasing wushu cultural communication.
