Objectives: This thesis aims to use SWOT analysis to explore the strengths,weaknesses,opportunities and threats of tourism resource development in Beijing Miaofeng Mountain Bike Town(hereinafter referred to as Miaofeng Mountain Town),and provide strategies for the construction of Miaofeng Mountain Town,which may promote the development of characteristic scenic spots and sports characteristics towns in China.Methods: This thesis mainly uses literature data method,field research method,expert interview method,questionnaire survey method,mathematical statistics method,and case analysis method to analyze the development status of Miaofeng Mountain Town.By applying the ranking score of S/W/O/T in the tourist questionnaire,the total weighted score of IFE/EFE in the expert matrix,and the strategic positioning of internal and external factors to analyze the strengths,weaknesses,opportunities and threats of the development for tourism resources in Miaofeng Mountain Town;and then use the TOWS analysis as a strategic model,combining the case analysis of domestic and foreign bike park,the ranking score of the strategy in the tourist questionnaire and the total attractiveness score of the expert QSPM matrix formulate the strategies for the development of tourism resources in Miaofeng Mountain Town.Results: According to the comprehensive scores from the tourist questionnaire and the expert IFE/EFE matrix,the strengths of the Miaofeng Mountain Town are superior geographical position(3.58),rich sports tourism conditions(3.32),and high-quality natural resources(3.22);the weaknesses are single propaganda channel(2.72),unreasonable road setting(2.52),insufficient resource development and integration(2.48);the opportunities are development potential of sports + tourism +cultural model(3.82),national policy support(3.72),capital radiation role(2.14);the threats are the inconsonant previous design and later operation(2.10),fierce the market competition(1.70),and the traditional concept(1.29).The strategic positioning results show that the center of gravity of the strategic quadrilateral is P(0.35,0.42),which means strengths and opportunities are the focus of tourism resources development in Miaofeng Mountain town,and there is a positive trend in the future.The comprehensive data from the tourist questionnaire and expert QSPM matrix show that Prevention Strategy(10.98)and Communication Strategy(13.93)are 1.7 times bigger than Promotion strategies(8.44)and Defense Strategy(6.15),the previous two are the priority strategies for the development of tourism resources in Miaofeng Mountain Town.Conclusions: The Miaofeng Mountain area in Beijing has many high-quality resources and is rich in leisure and entertainment functions.Most tourists are satisfied with the development status of tourism resources in Miaofeng Mountain town.This thesis suggests that developers and all parties should innovate riding tourism image,extend the town industry chain,tap and integrate characteristic resources,build well-known domestic and international events,and formulate comprehensive marketing strategies.At the same time,promoting the wisdom and informatization of sports towns,maintaining biodiversity could achieve sustainable development.
