Research On The Influence Of VAR Technology On Football Match

VAR technology is an information technology system developed by FIFA to assist referees to improve the accuracy of judgment,it was first used in the 2018 World Cup,since then,the professional leagues of various countries have also introduced VAR technology.CSL has introduced this technology since 2018,the effects still need to be observed and summarized.This research adopts the methods of literature,expert interview,video analysis,mathematical statistics and logical analysis,take 2018 CSL as an example,through the statistics and analysis of the application of VAR technology in this season,systematically analyzes the influence of VAR technology on football matches from both positive and negative aspects,have a clear understanding of the application effect of VAR technology in football matches,it provides reference for the reform of VAR technology in CSL in the future.The purpose of the study is to solve the problems in the application of VAR technology,through better use of VAR technology to assist the referee in accurate judgment.Research can enrich research results in this field,to provide theoretical support for the reform of VAR technology in football matches,it is helpful to give full play to the positive role of VAR technology,minimize or even avoid negative effects.Through the research,the following conclusions are obtained:1.In the 2018 Chinese Super League,the official VAR has been involved 279 times,with strong randomness.The scope of use is mainly focused on goals and penalties,the scope of use is expanded,the area of use is mainly concentrated in the front court,especially in the forbidden area,the use time is concentrated in 2-4 minutes,with a long time,the rate of penalty and goal change after use is high.2.The use of VAR technology in football games has brought positive effects,which are:first,it improves the accuracy of referees' decisions;second,it helps to regulate the discretion of referees;third,it increases the deterrent force to players,which can effectively curb the foul behavior of players;fourth,it helps to reduce the occurrence of fans' deviant behavior.3.VAR technology has brought some negative effects to the football match,mainly reflected in: firstly,it weakens the authority of the referee to a certain extent,secondly,it is easy for the referee to form a dependence on video,thirdly,it destroys the fluency and coherence of the match process,fourthly,it affects the competitive state of the players on the field,and fifthly,it increases the operation cost of the football match.Through the conclusion,the following suggestions are put forward: first,promote the professional reform of referees,improve the professional level of referees;second,improve the operation standard of VAR,strictly initiate the use of VAR;third,strengthen the professionaltraining,improve the level of using VAR;fourth,create the atmosphere of transformation and development of relevant achievements,reduce the cost of technology introduction.
