Xu Zhenwei(1932-1994),born in Yixing,Jiangsu Province,is a famous contemporary Chinese educator and special level teacher.She has been engaged in Chinese education for more than 40 years and has made remarkable achievements.But because Xu Zhenwei does not pursue the integrity of her own ideological system,and other people have limited research on her,the value of her thoughts has not been fully explored.Starting from the reality of Chinese teaching,Xu Zhenwei reflected on the traditional education,absorbed new teaching ideas and thoughts,and worked hard for more than 40 years in the cause of Chinese education with firm reform determination.For many years,she has always kept close contact with the first-line teaching of Chinese,explored the law of Chinese teaching,guided the actual teaching personally,and improved many disadvantages in Chinese teaching.In the process of exploration and practice,she gradually formed a distinctive thoughts of Chinese education,which mainly includes four aspects:the view of Chinese teaching students,the view of reading teaching,the view of oral teaching and the view of Chinese curriculum teaching materials.Xu Zhenwei's view of students is based on the premise of believing in students,the starting point of which is to mobilize the enthusiasm of students,and the overall improvement of all students' Chinese quality.This enlightens Chinese teaching to attach importance to students' foundation,stimulate students' interest in learning,and organize teaching from the perspective of comprehensively improving students' Chinese literacy.Xu Zhenwei's view of reading teaching establishes the basic position of reading teaching,puts forward a scientific understanding of reading ability,devotes himself to breaking the formalism in teaching and promoting the reform of Chinese teaching in the way of "expanding reading".It suggests that reading teaching should combine listening,speaking,reading and writing teaching,cultivate reading ability step by step,guard against formalism,and pay attention to the guidance of reading in and out of class.Xu Zhenwei's view of oral teaching "striving for a place for oral training" expounds the rationality of the combination of oral teaching,reading teaching and writing teaching.This enlightens Chinese teaching to attach importance to oral communication teaching,combining reading and writing teaching to carry out oral communication teaching.Xu Zhenwei's view of teaching materials of Chinese course puts forward to compile teaching materials with the training of reading ability as the main line,focusing on the overall improvement of students' Chinese quality and the practical use of teaching materials.This enlightens the construction of teaching materials to attach importance to ability training,comprehensively improve students' Chinese literacy,and improve the operability of teaching materials.Although Xu Zhenwei's thoughts also has some shortcomings due to the background of the times and personal limitations,there is no doubt that Xu Zhenwei has left a profound and valuable wealth for Chinese education.Studying Xu Zhenwei's educational thoughts,Chinese education can draw experience from it.Influenced by Xu Zhenwei's spirit,the latter is more clear about the qualities that an educator should have.Xu Zhenwei's thoughts of Chinese education was born in the past and will continue to enlighten today's and future Chinese education.
