Social work is a strong practical profession,social work education also reflects the practical orientation,in which social work practice as a social work students will be the combination of theory and practice of an important link,in the whole education system plays an important role.However,under the realistic situation,the practice process has not played its due role,which in turn affects the professional cognition and career choice of social work students.Therefore,this study attempts to describe the practice process of Masters of Social Work,and reveals the phenomenon and reasons of the practice process that deviates from the practice goal and the original intention,focusing on the question of "How the practice education has affected the students' professional cognition and practice choice".The practice process is not an independent and separate process,but is closely related to the theoretical education of the field of education.Based on the theory of Bourdieu Field-Habitus,through the in-depth interviews with 13 social work students,it is found that students have encountered different difficulties in both the field of education and the field of practice.Before the practice,the students are in the field of education,which is made up of the government,teachers and students.The government is rapidly promoting the development of social work education,but at the same time,due to the shortage of professional teachers,most teachers construct the system of professional knowledge by "teaching while learning" and so on.Students develop professional practices through learning expertise and undergraduate practices in the field of education.But this professional habitus stays in the idealized state;In the middle of the practice,students enter the field of practice.This field consists of social work institution managers,front-line social workers and students.Managers make decisions under the dual influence of managerialism and professionalism,and influence the operational logic of front-line social workers and students.The first-line social workers have formed a low professional and autonomous service attitude due to the lack of environmental and their own professional ability.The practice attitude of students changes with the practice process.More importantly,due to the change of field,the capital and habitus between the various subjects conflict,students face various difficulties,the development of different action strategies,after the practice,when the students return to the field of education,the students to reflect on the practice process,and re-understand professional habitus.Through the study of the practice process,we can reflect the tension between theory and practice in the practice of social work,further reflect on the current social work practice,social work professional education,on the basis of which the education field,the practice field and the interaction between the field to optimize the proposal.
