In China,with the development of social economy,a large number of rural labor force transferred to cities,and the number of parents going out for work is soaring,which makes rural children face a huge emotional deficit in the process of growing up.In such a case,peer communication is a compensatory social support for the lack of parental care.The degree of peer acceptance reflects the individual's peer communication level in some ways,and is also an important reflection of the individual's adaptation to the society.Higher peer acceptance means more security,less loneliness and less risk-taking.Therefore,how to improve the level of rural children's interpersonal communication has become the focus of more and more educational researchers.parents' reaction style is connected with children's emotional communication ability,but it is not clear the relation between peeraccetance.Therefore,it is necessary to investigate the relationship between parents' reaction to children's negative emotions and children's peer acceptance in rural areas.This study selected five kindergartens in the three rural towns in southwest,participants included 915 children between the ages of 40 and 80 months and 319 parents have the ability to fill out the forms.Of the parents surveyed,105 were grandparents,214 were parents.84 percent parents had a junior high school education or below and 16 percent of parents have a high school education or above.The results showed that:(1)there is a significant gender difference in children's peer acceptance level,and the level of girls' peer acceptance is higher than that of boys';The peer acceptance level of children raised by parents is higher than that of grandparents.(2)Dependants with a high school education or above had the highest problem-focused reaction and emotion-focus reaction,while dependants with a primary school education or below had the highest punitive reaction and distress reaction,dependants will show more problem-focused reaction,emotion-focus reaction and expressive reaction to girls;There are significant differences between grandparents and parents in the way of reaction to children's negative emotions.Parents' problem-focused reaction and emotion-focus reaction are higher than grandparents',while distress reaction and punitive reaction are lower than grandparents'.(3)problem-focused reaction and emotion-focus reaction positively predicted peer acceptance;Punitive reaction negatively predicts peer acceptance.(4)emotional regulation ability plays a fully mediating effects between parental supportive reaction(problem-focused reaction and emotion-focus reaction)punitive reaction and peer acceptance.emotional regulation ability plays.
