Research On The Function Of Practical Education Of College Students' Voluntary Service And The Path Of Realization

Since the eighteen Party Congress,Xi Jinping has repeatedly replied to young volunteers,encouraging them to transmit volunteerism through action,affirming their achievements in serving others and contributing to society,and contributing to the dream of China of realizing the nation rejuvenation.Because of its unique advantages,voluntary service has a powerful educational function.It has become an important carrier for universities to achieve the goal of virtue education and carry out the work of practical education.What's more,it is also an important form for students to promote healthy and sustainable development and realize social participation.On the basis of combing the theory of voluntary service,this paper focuses on five aspects: the moral shaping function,the ideological shaping function,the spiritual cohesion function,the function of incentive guidance and the function of value guidance of college students' voluntary service,and on the basis of learning from the beneficial experience of domestic and foreign college students' voluntary service,this paper explores the effective way to give play to the educational function of college students' voluntary serviceThis paper mainly contains four parts except preface:The first part is the general theory of college students' voluntary service.First of all,based on the related discussion of experts and scholars,the connotation,characteristics and the function of practical education of college students' voluntary service are explained.Secondly,it analyzes the development process of college students' voluntary service.After four stages of development: germination,exploration,development and improvement,college students' voluntary service presents a new development situation.Thirdly,it analyzes the types of college students' voluntary service.This paper mainly expounds three types: special voluntary service,public welfare voluntary service and community voluntary service.Finally,from the perspective of young students,it analyzes the significance of voluntary service,and understand the importance of college students' voluntary service in the realization of all-round development,innovation of social governance,development of human resources and practice of socialist core values.The second part mainly expounds the function of practical education of college students' voluntary service.College students' voluntary service provides important educational resources for young students to grow up.Through voluntary service activities,volunteers strengthen moral cognition,gather spiritual power,cultivate good morality,and become modern citizens in line with the requirements of the times.First of all,the moral shaping function and ideological shaping function of college students' voluntary service.The moral shaping function includes two aspects: personal morality and social morality,and the ideological shaping function includes three aspects: strengthening citizen awareness,cultivating dedication and enhancing social responsibility.Secondly,the function of incentive guidance of college students' voluntary service includes value incentive and example incentive.Thirdly,the spiritual cohesion function of college students' voluntary service includes three aspects: goal cohesion,emotion cohesion and culture cohesion.Finally,the function of value guidance of college students' voluntary service includes three aspects:voluntary spirit,charity spirit and socialist core values.The third part is the typical case and experience enlightenment of college students' voluntary service.First of all,based on the comparative analysis of Bethune Volunteer Association of Jilin University,Benyu Volunteer Service Team of Huazhong Agricultural University,and the voluntary service of the United States and Japan,this paper analyzes the similarities and differences of volunteer service between China and foreign countries in purpose of voluntary service,activity field,organization form,guarantee mechanism and evaluation mechanism.Secondly,based on the experience of volunteer service cases at home and abroad,this paper provides useful suggestions to promote the further development of college students' volunteer service from four aspects: concept modernization,management systematization,activity specialization and brand project.The fourth part mainly explores the effective ways to give full play to the function of practical education of college students' voluntary service.It includes four aspects: Firstly,it improves the education system of college students' voluntary service from the two aspects of improving the guarantee mechanism and management mechanism of college students' voluntary service,strengthening the top-level design,integrating social resources,andensuring college students' voluntary service to promote the development of public society and help young students grow up healthily.Secondly,it strengthens the practical experience of the youth and deepens the function of volunteering service from strengthening the theoretical study of volunteer service,strengthening practice experience of voluntary service and constructing the "Internet plus volunteering" mode to perfect the construction of service platform and provide a good platform for student to carry out voluntary service activities.Thirdly,students should strengthen self-education,establish correct concept of voluntary service,and improve their ability and comprehensive quality.Finally,we should give full play to the educational function of advanced culture including volunteer culture and model culture,to create a good social atmosphere for young students to devote themselves to volunteer service.In a word,through the research on the function of practical education and the realization path of college students' voluntary service,we hope to give full play to the education value of voluntary service and promote students to grow healthily.
