The Olympic rhythmic gymnastics competition has gone through 32 years of development, but there are no related research results on the overall analysis of the Olympic rhythmic gymnastics competition since 1984.Based on this, this paper takes1984-2016 has held the Olympic Games rhythmic gymnastics project nine games for the study of the main line, through games and equipment, the regional distribution of participating countries(regions),number of competitors, and the characteristics of the age, regional and national(regional)competitive strength pattern and so on to carry on the profound analysis, aims at providing a more comprehensive understanding and grasp the artistic gymnastics competition and changes provide valuable reference, such as course at a deep understanding of the contest.Through literature research, comparative research, logical analysis and mathematical statistics, this paper makes an in-depth analysis of the 1984-2016 Olympic rhythmic gymnastics competition among participating countries(regions),athletes, apparatus Settings, competition results, medal distribution, competitive strength pattern and other aspects,so as to comprehensively interpret the Olympic rhythmic gymnastics competition.Research conclusions:1.In the Olympic rhythmic gymnastics competition, there were only individual events in the previous three sessions, and team events were added in 1996.In the competition, the equipment was changed from one kind in turn to the number of rope turns.2.9 there are a total of 48 participating countries(regions)in the rhythmic gymnastics competition of the Olympic Games. From the perspective of geographical distribution, there is an imbalance in the regional distribution of the competition, that is,Europe accounts for the highest 63%,Asia for 21%,and Africa,Oceania,North America and South America account for a very small proportion.3.Over the past 30 years,a total of 659 athletes have participated in the rhythmic gymnastics competitions at the Olympic Games. The athletes' ages ranged from 14 to 30 years old, with an average age of 19.24 years old, mainly from 17 to 20 years old, accounting for 62%.From the vertical analysis, the age of both the athletes and the winners shows a certain "backward" phenomenon, that is,the minimum age,the maximum age and the average age gradually increase.4.In terms of medal attribution,Russia took the lead with 16 MEDALS,followed by belarus with 6 and Ukraine with 5.The competitive strength pattern of the participating countries(regions)under the medal attribution index was as follows: in the early stage, the competitive pattern was single, dominated by the Soviet union;later, after the brief competition between Russia and Ukraine,it became the dominant country in Russia until now.The regional competitive strength pattern of rhythmic gymnastics is that Europe occupies the top spot, and Asia and North America strive to catch up.5.Under the top 8 points index, the regional competitive strength pattern changes asfollows: in the early stage, the multi-regional competition pattern led by southern Europe gradually turns into the strong dominant pattern of eastern Europe; The collective project strength pattern is relatively single, the southern Europe, the eastern Europe strength is strong, for the dualistic dominant strength pattern. The strength pattern of individual projects of countries(regions)has changed from the internal competition in Europe dominated by the former Soviet union to the diversified competition in artistic operation under the strong domination of Russia. The collective project is a slight advantage of Russia,Italy, belarus,Bulgaria,Spain are equal, the first group of countries stable strength.
