Self-differentiation is the core concept of Bowen's family system theory, which refers to the ability of individuals to maintain a balance between independence and emotional connection. It is one of the important factors affecting individual maturity and mental health, and it can have an impact on individuals' coping style.High school students are at the critical stage of self-integration.Individuals with different levels of self-differentiation have different coping styles, which may be because individuals have different cognitive evaluations of stress events when they occur. From this perspective, researchers believe that explanatory style can play a mediating role in self-differentiation and coping styles. In order to further understand the current situation of high school students' self-differentiation,explanatory styles and coping styles, this study in order to "self-differentiation questionnaire","explains style questionnaire of middle school students" and "simple coping style questionnaire" as a research tool,to 900 high school students has carried on the questionnaire survey,in understanding the status quo,on the basis of high school students self-differentiation,explain the relationship between style and coping styles, and discusses the interpretation of the high school style in self-differentiation and whether there is any intermediary effect between coping styles, research conclusions are as follows:(1)In terms of self-differentiation,the overall self-differentiation of high school students is higher than the average level, but there are still quite a few high school students with low self-differentiation level. The self-differentiation level of male students was significantly higher than that of female students.High school students with highly educated parents have higher levels of self-differentiation.High school students with democratic family upbringing have higher levels of self-differentiation.High school students with good parent-child relationships had higher levels of self-differentiation.High school students with high levels of self-differentiation had a more optimistic interpretation style and a more positive interpretation of negative events.(2)In terms of explanatory style, most high school students tend to be optimistic.High school students with only children had a more optimistic style of explanation;High school students with democratic parenting styles explained their style more optimistically;High school students who had a good parent-child relationship explained their style more optimistically.High school students with optimistic interpretation style used positive coping more frequently and negative coping less frequently.(3)In terms of coping style, the coping style of high school students is mainly positive coping.Students in senior three adopt more positive coping and less negative coping than students in senior one and senior two.Senior high school students who serve as student leaders are more likely to adopt positive coping and less likely to adopt negative coping;High school students with educated parents are more responsive;High school students with democratic family parenting style adopt more positive coping and less negative coping;High school students with better parent-child relationships have more positive coping styles.(4)There was a significant correlation between high school students' self-differentiation,explanatory style and coping style, which had a significant predictive effect on high school students' coping style, and explanatory style had a partial mediating effect between high school students' self-differentiation and positive coping style.
