Comprehensively improving the quality of teachers is an inevitable requirement for the rapid development of society and economy.In 2014,the Ministry of Education of China issued the "Opinions on the Implementation of the Excellent Teacher Training Plan",which promotes the comprehensive reform of teacher education with "excellence" as the guidance.Cultivating excellent teachers not only indicates the direction for talent training in higher normal colleges,but also optimizes the overall level of middle school teachers and lays the foundation for the development of domestic basic education.Therefore,carrying out research on excellent teacher training has important theoretical and practical significance.This study conducts relevant research on the assessment standards,pre-service training status,and countermeasures of middle school outstanding geography teachers,and aims to promote the innovative and comprehensive training of middle school excellent geography teachers,and promote the implementation of excellent teacher training programs.This study sorts out related research on excellent teachers at home and abroad,and explores the pre-service training path of middle school excellent geography teachers based on related theories and combining the characteristics of geography.A questionnaire survey method was used to prepare a questionnaire for the evaluation criteria of middle school excellent geography teachers.A sample of 317 middle school geography teachers and 285 geography teachers of A universities was used as a sample to investigate the recognition of the excellent geography teacher evaluation standards of the middle schools.Using data analysis method and SPSS to analyze the data,draw conclusions and establish the evaluation standard for middle school excellent geography teachers.The survey method and literature analysis method are used to summarize and analyze the training goals and training measures set by the 31 schools that have implemented thet Middle School Excellen Teachers Program.This article combines qualitative research with quantitative research to provide an effective basis for studying the pre-service training path of middle school excellent geography teachers.Through research,the following conclusions are reached:(1)According to the analysis of the questionnaire data,it can be concluded that the first-line middle school geography teachers and normal school students have a high degree of recognition of the evaluation standards of middle schoolgeography excellent teachers.Based on the survey results,the middle school geography excellent teacher standards were formulated.(2)Through inductive analysis,the author finds that colleges and universities have neglected subject literacy,personal charm,and self-development ability when setting excellent teacher training goals.(3)In view of the shortcomings in the process of training excellent teachers in universities,the following suggestions are made for the training of middle school excellent geography teachers in universities:Innovative talent training program for geography teachers;Develop students' belief in teaching;Strengthen the construction of teachers and deepen the "U-G-S" collaborative training system;Update course content;Improve the implementation rules of the evaluation standards for excellent geography teachers middle schools.
