Study On The Cross-cultural Adaptation Of Indonesian Chinese Teacher Volunteers

Based in Indonesia Lokon's eight middle school Chinese language teachers volunteers as the research object,to their social life,the teaching work in Indonesia,cross-cultural psychology,language to adapt to the situation of investigation and research,on the basis of investigation and study,the typical problems in the screening questionnaire,to solve these problems for volunteers carried out in-depth interviews,and according to the present their cross-cultural situation affecting factors of cross-cultural adaptation to Indonesian Chinese volunteer teachers.The results showed that the Chinese teacher volunteers in Indonesia Lokon middle school performed well in the whole process of cross-cultural adaptation,among which the volunteer teachers were the best at adapting to the social life in Indonesia,but there were some problems in the language.According to the conclusion of the study,the author puts forward Suggestions from three aspects: the training unit,the receiving unit and the Chinese teacher volunteer.An introduction to Indonesian sociocultural aspects and courses in sociocultural aspects;Adding courses in classroom management;Increase teaching practice in the training process;Increase the diversity of Chinese talent classes and talents.Secondly,to accept the Suggestions of the foreign party,such as providing a good living environment for the volunteers as much as possible;Organize volunteers to learn some contents related to Indonesian society and culture and learn Indonesian language;Can often pay attention to the mental health of volunteers,so that they can quickly get familiar with the unfamiliar environment.Finally,Suggestions on cross-cultural adaptation of Chinese teacher volunteers in Indonesia.Although the situation of cross-cultural adaptation varies from person to person,from time to time and from place to place,and everyone's experience and feelings vary at different stages in the same country,there are some universal rules in addition to particularity in the process of cross-cultural adaptation.Firstly,the volunteers should adjust their psychological expectation and adapt to the environment as soon as possible.Strengthen the study of Indonesian,no matter when,volunteers should pay attention to the study of Indonesian,and constantly improve their interpersonal skills;In teaching,we should also learn more from the teaching methods of local teachers in Indonesia,and try our best to provide students with teaching methods suitable for them.Finally,in the concluding part,the author summarizes the overall cross-cultural adaptation of Chinese teacher volunteers in Indonesia and points out some shortcomings of this study.
