Discourse Analysis Of Typical Reports On The Front Page Of "Legal Daily"

Since the Fourth Plenary Session of the 18 th CPC National Congress held in October 2014,the comprehensive rule of law has been incorporated into the “four comprehensive” strategic layout,and the pace of China's rule of law has steadily advanced.As the organ of the CPC Central Committee and the Political and Law Commission,it is reported to the "Legal Daily",a comprehensive daily report of the central legal system based on the legal system,which is highly authoritative and professional.Even in the face of the sudden rise of the Internet media,there are still more than 1.7 million circulations and nearly 10 million readings.The "Legal Daily" has played an important role in cultivating the public's thinking on the rule of law,popularizing legal knowledge,and enhancing awareness of rights protection,while objectively transmitting information and exerting correct public opinion guidance.This article attempts to start from the perspective of news discourse construction,choose the typical report from the front page of "Legal Daily",and study the relationship between the "Legal Daily" and the process of the rule of law in China.The research method of this article adopts Bernard Berellsen's content analysis method and Van Dick's discourse analysis method on news texts.It effectively combines quantitative analysis with qualitative analysis,and covers the contents of typical reports on the front page of Legal Daily.We will carry out a detailed review,summarizing the reports on genres,reports,and geographical coverage of the typical front page reports.Then we will analyze the presentation of news discourse in “typical reports” and report discourses on different typical topics.The text structure,news patterns,wording styles,and use of rhetorical devices and the significance of news discourse construction are analyzed and summarized to more fully reflect the significance and value of typical front-page reports of the “Legal Daily”,which are conveyed from behind the news discourse.In the deeper sense,it is believed that the "Legal Daily" has achieved fruitful construction in spreading the spirit of the rule of law,following the pace of the era of the rule of law,adhering to the "people-oriented" concept to increase publicity at the grassroots level,and establishing a pioneering era to create a good atmosphere for the rule of law society.
