There is a huge amount of resources in the ocean which covers more than 70 % of the surface of the earth.Underwater communication network is the basis for exploration and exploitation of the resources of the ocean. As the key technology of underwater communication network, underwater routing technology takes limited energy of nodes, dynamic network environment, narrow bandwidth and so forth into consideration, which makes it different from terrestrial routing technology.Meanwhile,software-defined optical network, which is the key of next generation communication network, can utilize network virtualization to solve the problem of closed and inflexible architectural design of traditional underwater network, increase the utilization of network resources and improve the performance of network. This thesis mainly finished the research on energy-efficient routing technology and virtual network mapping problem for underwater optical network. The major works done of this thesis are as follows.(1)A distributed energy-efficient routing algorithm for underwater wireless optical sensor network has been proposed. The algorithm applies to both dynamic and static network. The simulation illustrates that the proposed algorithm can reduce the routing consumption of energy and balance the energy of nodes, which prolong the lifetime of network.(2)A node mapping algorithm based on node-layered has been proposed. The algorithm first layers physical nodes according to their capacities of resources, then maps the virtual nodes into the physical nodes from the first layer to the last layer. The proposed algorithm can reduce the distance between mapped virtual nodes.(3)According to the underwater environment, two virtual link embedding algorithms are designed, which are insensitive and sensitive to the quality of channel. The results of the simulation show that the proposed algorithms can map more virtual networks and increase the utilization of network resources.
