In modern society,video technology affect our life in all aspects,and people's demand for video quality is getting higher and higher.Therefore,a powerful video processing device is required.But at present,most video processing devices are using CPU or GPU as core processor,which cannot meet the real-time requirements for multichannel ultra-high-definition video processing,and are unable to meet the users' requirements for ultra-high resolution and high refresh rate.In order to improve video processing efficiency and realize real-time processing of multi-channel ultra-highdefinition video,the hardware architecture of the video processing device needs to be redesigned and the algorithm efficiency of the video processing needs to be improved.In view of the current video technology research status and actual application scenarios,the author designs a FPGA-based multi-channel ultra-high definition video real-time processing system.The system accelerates video processing from hardware and algorithms,which solves the difficulties of simultaneous input and output processing of multiple channel 4K resolution video.And the system adopts multi-core architecture and parallel processing structure to achieve efficient processing of video data.The single board of multi-core video processing system uses two chips of Kintex-7 FPGA as the core processor,four chips of SiI9616 as video coprocessor,one chips of Cortex-M7 core MCU as the system controller,and 8 chips of 2Gbits DDR3 high-speed storage.The system hardware platform design includes complex schematic design and 12-layer high speed PCB design.1866 Mbps high-speed DDR3 memory and 10 Gbps GTX high-speed communications pose a serious challenge for system signal integrity and power integrity design.Through the combination of multiple boards and utilizing the advantages of FPGA parallel processing,the implementation of video processing algorithm can process dozens of ultra high-definition video at the same time.Combining the independent designed system hardware platform with the video processing algorithm and using Verilog HDL to complete the video processing algorithm design,after debugged,the system can be used for video scaling,video smoothing,and video edge detection.Moreover,the system design can meet the requirements for real-time processing of multi-channel Ultra HD video.The system is provided with multiple high-speed interfaces,which can ensure the high performance and flexibility of the system.Therefore,the system can be applied to the research and development of VR/AR video technology,smart driving,and artificial intelligence,and is applicable to a variety of application scenarios.
