In recent years,the increasing frequency of offshore oil spills cause severe damage to ecological environment and also resulted in the waste of huge quantities of crude oil resources,even threatening human health and safety.Therefore,quick and efficient means to treat oil pollution without secondary pollution are in urgent need.Magnetic oil absorption material has the nature of the oil absorption material and also has the special performance of magnetic response.Thus,they are convenient to be recycled and can quickly absorb oil.The magnetic oil-absorbing materials have great potential applications in oil spills treatment.In this paper,polyurethane foams modified by polymers and Fe3+.were used as templates to fabricate substrate magnetic oil-absorbing materials.The oil absorption and magnetic properties of the as-prepared materials were investigated.The main research contents are as follows:(1)Polyurethane foams which modified by PAA and Fe3+ subsequently were heated to 2300C to prepare porous magnetic materials.The magnetic foams were characterized by optical microscope,infrared absorption spectrum(FTIR),X-ray diffraction(XRD),contact angle.The as-fabricated materials exhibit obvious oil-wet and hydrophobic properties with adsorption capacities more than 10 g/g for most organic solvents and oils.The saturated adsorption can be obtained in 5 minutes and can be recycled.The magnetic oil-absorbing materials can float on the surface of water to absorb organic solvents for effectively oil-water separation and can be removed by an external magnet.(2)Polyurethane foams were used as templates to fabricate magnetical materials which exhibit effectively oil-absorbing and magnetic responsive properties.P(2-acrylamide-2-methylpro panesulfonic acid)(PAMPS)and Fe3+ were modified on the surface of polyurethane foams by dipping into AMPS and FeCl3 aqueous solution subsequently.Then the foams were heated to 230 ? and keep at that temperature for 4 h to obtain magnetical porous materials.The as-prepared materials were characterized by optical microscope,fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,X-ray diffraction and contact angles.The porous materials can absorb oil within 5 min and can be reused for more than 20 times.The density is low and the magnetic materials can float on the surface of water for absorbing oil.The magnetic oil-absorbing mateirals can be easily separated by using an exterior magnet from the surface of water.The magnetical materials fabricated here are good candidates for oil spills and oil-water separation.(3)Polyurethane foams were modified by poly styrene sulfonic acid sodium(PNaSS)and Fe3+ in sequence.Magnetic materials with porous structure were obtained by heating the polyurethane foams under high temperature.Then the porous materials were characterized by optical microscope,infrared absorption spectrum(FTIR),X-ray diffraction(XRD)and contact angles and the effects of concentration of NaSS and Fe3+ on oil absorption performance were investigated.The results show that the as-fabricated porous materials are oil-wet and hydrophobic properties.They exhibit good adsorption for organic solvents and oils,fast adsorption rate and good cycle performances.Also,the porous materials are able to quickly adsorb oils,and the oil/water separation in the external magnetic field can be realized.(4)Polyurethane foams modified by sodium carboxymethyl cellulose(CMC)and Fe3+ in turn were heated at high temperature for preparing porous materials with magnetic and oil-absorbing materials.The as-prepared materials were characterized by optical microscope,infrared absorption spectrum(FTIR),X-ray diffraction(XRD)and contact angles.The effects of concentration of CMC and Fe3+ and reaction temperature were investigated.Experiments show that the preparation of the magnetic porous materials are oil-wet and hydrophobic.Besides,they can float on the surface of water for fast organic solvent adsorption with good cycle performance up to 20 times and also easily realize high efficient magnetic separation.
